Octomom's Home a Circus, Says Fired Nanny

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls … The moment we all saw coming … Octomom Nadya Suleman’s home has become a circus, says the founder of the free nursing service that helped the single mother care for her 14 children.
Speaking with CBS’s Julie Chen Thursday morning, Linda West Conforti, founder of Angels in Waiting, described the environment in the La Hambra home as "chaotic" and unsafe:
Her older children have no bedtime schedule, no schoolwork schedule. They’re up till two o’clock in the morning, running around the house. I literally, myself, had to get one out of the backyard around 1:30 in the morning, because he was outside playing. He somehow escaped the nanny that was supposedly watching the older children, and he was outside playing. And I asked him to come in. And that was literally minutes before we had an intruder in the backyard at Nadya Suleman’s house because there is no security that has been provided for her, the nurses or the babies that are in the nursery.
Gloria Allred, the lawyer representing Angels in Waiting, spoke about the nannies who reported Suleman to Child Protection Services on "Dr. Phil" Wednesday:
If those babies are endangered in any way, they have a legal duty to report, and they take that duty seriously, and I thank God that they do. These Angels in Waiting nurses have been heroes in this situation.
Suleman also spoke to Dr. Phil on the telephone, and the conversation was aired on the show:
The primary issue was that myself and my nannies felt extremely uncomfortable. I personally felt like a stranger in my own home. The goal was to empower me as a mother, help me, train me.
In an e-mail to wowOwow on Monday night, Suleman’s attorney Jeff Czech explained the relationship began on the "wrong foot."
Suleman’s children are now receiving care with the help of Kaiser Permanente, the hospital in which Suleman delivered her eight babies.
All sides in the nanny versus octomom squabble will appear again on "Dr. Phil" Thursday. Stay tuned …

DeB o, here ya go for starters.
http://healthwise-everythinghealth.blogspot.com/2009/02/octuplet-doctor-…Yeah… this is one of the issues I see with health care costs in the US. I think malpractice lawsuits are often unreasonable and even frivolous, but when there really IS an obvious issue, it is as if the doctors close ranks to protect their own. So he is supposedly being "investigated" now, but I doubt the public will ever know the result… if there even is a real result. Grrrr.
Octoquack - That’s perfect!
This has all become some kind of circus! It is sickening!
Did she ask for the fertility drugs? If so, why? Why would a woman with six children already, want more? Is she a professional welfare mom? Is that what this is all about? and…
Now, she is famous, does she get to have millions of dollars for getting pregnant, and living off all of US? If so, will she eventually pay us all back the welfare bucks?
And, if she can’t take care of the previous children, why in God’s name is she getting pregnant again - just to keep having babies? Damn!
WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE, FOLKS?
Aaargh! "The goal was to empower me as a mother, help me, train me." She of all people should not need "training." Not only does she supposedly have eight years’ experience as a mother, she has (or nearly has) a Bachelor’s in child development already and says she plans to get a Master’s to become a professional counselor on the subject. This is a lot more formal, expensive training than most moms get - but oddly, billions of other moms the world over - even the poor and uneducated - are far more competent in raising their own families.
Enough already! She can’t handle one or two kids, much less six or 14, including several special-needs children and all the simultaneous preemies. I’m beginning to think the only thing that will jar the authorities into action is a death or serious injury.
