It always makes me laugh that there is some hairstyle that is the style of the season when there are only so many hairstyles and what goes around comes around. Wear it the way it looks best on you and ignore all the hype.

Hey, Judy, my thoughts exactly. What do these hairstyles have to do with the "best summer" ones? Most of these women have the same style year round. The word "amazing" used by this hair stylist in describing aforementioned hair styles was redundant and tiresome. I sound cranky, I know, but this kind of thing rattles my chain––what I have left of it to rattle.

To Phyllis and Judy, my sentiments, too!  Who is this guy anyway, and why should I care what his opinion is??? He’s such a name dropper and so full of himself! Personally, I think a couple of those people need new hairstyles.

Thank you, Judy K !

My sentiments exactly.

I’ve been wearing my nearly bald head for years and it looks better with age! … It’s now lightly salt and peppered with bursts of white at the front. I feel confident, great and get compliments all the time.

Women stop allowing others to dictate what you wear whether it be clothing or your hair!

Have been dying my hair for years and now my roots are growing in white so I dont have to touch up as often.  There are some benefits in aging but not many.

Speaking of which, I don’t care for the weather title of Really Bad Hair Day or Good Hair Day.  This is a site for women but my first priority is not my hair.

I had such high hopes for this site when it started…considering all the dynamos who were regular contributors.  But more and more, it is becoming little more than an issue of Cosmo.  Sigh….

It’s nice to have a mix of heavy topics and lighter fare.  I always say I carry my own baromoter with me on my head.  My hair frizzes out with the humidity and I use a lot more hair products!  Enjoyed seeing the pictures but can’t agree that Diane Von Furstenberg looks good.  Her hair looks pretty messy and unkempt to me.

Kate Winslet is gorgeous and Christie Brinkley has the most beautiful smile.

I do believe I could look a whole lot better and camera ready too if I had $20,000 a month to spend on upkeep/trainer like the lovely Jennifer Aniston.

I’m wearing my hair short for the first time in many years, and my husband really likes it.  The problem is I think I look subtle and professional which is fine, but with long thick hair, I can look amazing.  I’d like to be able to have long hair on occassion and I don’t think I’m brave enough for a wig.

As for Christie Brinkley all I can say is how magnificent she looks and what a curse it can be for beautiful women who attract all the wrong men for the wrong reasons.

I agree that the word "amazing" is way overused.  Kate Moss looks OK, but hardly amazing.  Diane Sawyer looks good, as always, but I know a lot of ladies with that same hairstyle.  Winona Ryder does look great. I’ve always loved her short hair.  Christie Brinkley and Jennifer Anniston both look lovely, but with the same hairstyle as usual.  Nothing that says "summer" to me.

I must say I don’t mind the mix of light and heavy topics.  Most of the heavier topics quickly become hostile anyway and I generally stay away from that type of atmosphere.

I also like the mixture of topics, keeps the site interesting.

My two cents: Winona Ryder is adorable. Kate Moss is very pretty. Jennifer Aniston’s hair doesn’t change that much, ever. Slide 6 wouldn’t load for me. The older woman - I forget her name - looked scary, but her hair was kind of cute, just more suited to a little girl, I thought. Very wispy and fly-away. Kate Winslet is always gorgeous but I didn’t really like her haristyle here.

*hairstyle (It would be lovely if we could get an "edit posts" option on this site!)

Hmm…I just tried to look at slide 6 to refresh my memory and it wouldn’t load for me either.  I’m not sure if it did that the first time I looked or not.

(I agree, the ability to edit would be great.)
