Sarah Palin Psychic Profile: Peggy Rometo on Why Alaska's Former Governor Will Bow Out of 2012 Presidential Election

It’s been a wild ride for America’s most notorious ex-governor. Why did Palin resign? Does she harbor any regrets? What is her current relationship with John McCain? wOw intuitive Peggy Rometo weighs in.

Sarah Palin was a widely unknown politician and self-described "hockey mom" before John McCain chose her as his vice-presidential running mate for the 2008 presidential election. Since then, the ex-governor of Alaska has become a household name, a woman whose every move is endlessly analyzed by bloggers, talking heads and late-night talk-show hosts alike. In the wake of her resignation, she’s continued to generate headlines after an ongoing ethics probe into her use of government trust funds became public. We asked wOw intuitive Peggy Rometo about the past, present and future of the country’s most famous Alaskan.

wowOwow: Why did Sarah Palin really step down?

Peggy
: She stepped down for several reasons. My sense is that she’s a very complex and sensitive person, which makes it difficult for her to speak publicly about her family and her own emotions (and may account for the trouble she encountered in conveying her decision to resign). First and foremost, she was exhausted, and felt she was neglecting her marriage, her kids and her own health. And second, she felt she had become a detriment to her state: There was too much focus on her and her family, and not on the issues. Her lack of accountability and inability to focus caused state officials to ask her to step down, and she conceded. In the end, she felt that by staying she was not serving Alaska well, which helped her to justify her resignation.

This investigation may be one of the reasons that she will ultimately pass up or bow out of the 2012 election.

wOw: Does she have any regrets about her decision?

Peggy: She goes back and forth. Initially, she felt sad about giving up the office she had fought so strenuously to win; now, she worries that she should have stuck it out. She regrets the example that she’s set for her kids and feels bad about letting her constituents down. At the same time, she is enjoying her personal freedom, and feels she’s done the right thing for her family and Alaska in the long run. But there is still an occasional twinge of "what if" she had waited to finish out her term and not allowed herself to be bullied.

wOw: Does she have presidential ambitions?

Peggy
: I do see that she is strongly interested in running for president, but with considerations. At the moment, she’s wrung out from the mayhem and limelight of the 2008 race, and is feeling accosted by the pressure of her public role. My sense is that she’s simply burned out, and needs time to regroup. In the spring of 2010, after she’s feeling rested, she’ll consider whether or not she’ll become a candidate – which will in part be based on how much support she feels she has in the Republican Party.

wOw: Will she win if she does run for president?

Peggy: That’s the million-dollar question! And unfortunately, we’re not dealing in absolutes here. My sense is that she’ll spend part of 2010 forming an exploratory committee and getting a real sense of her prospects. If she doesn’t gain enough support, or feels she can’t win, she won’t run at all; she doesn’t want to put her family or herself through a national campaign unless she has a real shot. But what I’m seeing now is that many in her party will want her to be the nominee, on the basis that a woman can be a viable candidate in light of Hillary Clinton’s strong showing in 2008. But I believe Sarah will shock everyone by pulling out unexpectedly or declining altogether.

wOw: It was announced recently that Palin is under investigation for misuse of government trust funds relating to her personal legal bills. Is this controversy part of the reason she resigned the governorship?

Palin has not even spoken about a run for the Presidency…good gawd people.

Hey! Wanna hear what my crystal ball and tea leaves said about Obama? They both spelled out SOCIALISM. And warned of the end of America as we know it.

Interesting huh? I am available to Wowowow for an interview about that if they are interested…..

Come on now. This article wasn’t about Obama, and didn’t even say anything negative about GOP darling Sarah Palin. Why try to make it argumentative?

Well Raugiel…it is a ridiculous premise all around. Nothing arguementative here, just observations.

yeah, the idea of doing a psychic profile is meant more for fun than anything else I’d presume, but I mean, you had to try and make a dig to connect Obama and socialism? Though this definition of socialism is somewhat rudimentary, I went to Miriam Webster’s to grab one: "a system of society or group living in which there is no private property". Not even remotely close to anything advocated by Obama or his administration. So then, how is connecting Obama with socialism, which he doesn’t advocate, not contentious?

Yes Raugiel…I see your point. I do.

However, I do not think that wowowow intends for this "profile" to be considered "fun". It is just another attempt to discredit Palin.

So, in the same vein, I can "predict" things about Obama. You can go to Miriiam’s dictionary all that you want to…what Obama is doing to this Nation is not  "text book" by any means. Socialism, Statist, Marxist…and nice little mixture.

Mostly….look up Cloward-Piven to get a drift of his outline.

Obama himself is contentious, me pointing that out is my right.

Well, I can see where you could think its a way to discredit Palin, since it predicts she’ll drop out or not run in 2012, but compared to most of what folks who don’t like Palin say about her, I think this paints her in a pretty good light. Calls her a family woman, sincere, etc. (Compare so some opinion articles that say she left her governorship because she is greedy and wants a TV deal, and this looks really good).

I suppose if your beef is that Obama wouldn’t put capitalim in charge of every single aspect of our lives, then I’d have to conceed. I also think that’s a good thing. Capitalim is good, but it’s not best method for running all aspects of American life, nor is it meant to be. (if we relied on capitalism to build the highways or run the army, we wouldn’t have either, after all…)

But… I am not sure what you mean when you say Obama is contentious. I think he tries his best not to start arguments where he does’t have too (in my opinion sometimes to a fault). But, that wasn’t really my point. My point is, there is no need to get into the buzzword argument on a topic that this article isn’t even about. It just encourages us to find our differences instead of our similarities. Though two groups in America can agree on everything, we should try to impliment as many of the solutions that we do agree on as fast as we can - and that means finding our similarities!  I don’t always chime in on these discussions but I browse a lot of them, and sometimes I wonder how many things we’d find that we all agree on if we tried, and if that might not be the best way to get started fixing the mess our country is in, rather than focusing on the ways we disagree.

Naw Rauiel…it was not, nor does it paint Palin in "a good light". Nope. They are attempting to discredit her as a political power…some are so scared by her common sense approach to things.

I guess that they worry that the "average person" might start to think for themselves…and that would blow the whole elistist game of control by the academically superior. No…she worries those academic types that only have certificates to show off, without any real experience.

You don’t have to conceed a thing Raugiel. I have not said that capitalisn should be in charge of  "every single aspect of our lives". That would be an overstatement of what America is. But Obama want the government to control almost every aspect of our lives and most Americans do not agree with that. Obama has a plan that is taking over the majority of our total economy and our disposable income. Not the American way.

Obama is most certainly contentious! Have you no knowledge of ACORN and what is happening? Have you no knowledge of the bully tactics going on right now in Washington? Really?

I don’t engage in buzzwords, Raugiel…do not be decieved…I mean EXACTLY what I am saying here. This is very important and it IS the differences now that will make or break America.

Obama does nothing bipartisan and there is NO "coming together". It is his way or the highway and his rush to implement his socialist programs is proof that he has no intention of this country "coming together". He could care less. He started a firestorm with the Gates and Crowely thing…he doesn’t care…his is on track with his social experiment and to hell with those that do not agree.

Have a gander at this you can get the entire article online, but here is one paragraph:

Issa Slams Emanuel for ‘Chicago’-like Attacks

Wednesday, August 5, 2009 1:37 PM

By: Dave Eberhart

Newsmax.com

"In the final paragraphs, Issa challenged Emanuel: “The American people have a right to know what role you played in developing the threatening letters to Gov. Brewer and whether you intend to continue to engage in these tactics in the future."

This administration is dirty, beyond what any American wants  to believe. The best way to fix this country is to look for the truth and not to fall victim to the propaganda.

Cloward-Piven strategy look it up.

Sarah had many problems within her own party when she returned to Alaska.  The ethics charges were not well received even though they were thrown out.  But there must have been other issues as well.

She has been advised by those who support her, that if she is going to make a Presidential run, she should read everything she can get her hands on about national and foreign policies, past and present.  That would be excellent advice.  She might also consider hiring a voice coach.

Sarah is young.  Time in the Senate first would serve her well.

Maggie, I usually see eye to eye with you, but I have to respectfully disagree with you on this point. She can read the entire Library of Congress between now and the presidential run. But sooner or later, she will have to publicly respond to questions on what she has learned and to expound on this new knowledge. Much hilarity will ensue. No amount of study will help her.

The entire Library of Congress….LOL.  I agree.   As with all VP and Presidential candidates, Sarah had several coaches help prepare her for the debate with Biden.  There were ongoing mini dramas, according to a McCain aid.   She wanted frequent breaks.  She challenged them by saying, " They won’t ask that!"  She had a problem with focus and a short attention span.  Another aid said , after the campaign, " The problem is she doesn’t know what she doesn’t know."  That’s it in a nut shell.

"a short attention span"…. THAT is probably it in a nutshell and we don’t need an astrologer to tell us that!
