'Real Housewives,' Real Trouble (From Kelly Bensimon to Countess LuAnn de Lesseps)

Is it comforting to know that the "Real Housewives" have troubles that run deeper than breaking a nail? From Kelly Bensimon to the countess and Gretchen Rossi, here’s the lowdown of the controversy brewing for these reality television stars.
"Real Housewives of New York City" star Kelly Bensimon showed up in court yesterday to argue the allegations that she clocked her then beau Nick Stefanov. The 40-year-old’s defense for giving her 30-year-old ex-boyfriend a black eye? He wouldn’t leave her alone, according to the former model’s lawyer, Edward Hayes.
The guy wouldn’t leave her apartment. He pushed and shoved her, then he calls the police. You’re entitled to push him out of your apartment [if he doesn’t voluntarily leave].
Bensimon was arrested last month for allegedly hitting her former boyfriend in the face, which caused a "laceration below his left eye." Bensimon pleaded not guilty and was slapped with a misdemeanor at the time. The leggy, former model and mother of two, isn’t the only "Real Housewife" in the Big Apple in a relationship tiff.
LuAnn de Lesseps, also called "the countess," has been dumped — via email! — by her husband, Count Alexandre de Lesseps, with whom she has two kids.
Meanwhile, the network that airs the reality TV program, Bravo, has a headache over a different "Housewife" — one from the Pacific coast. "Real Housewives of Orange County" star Gretchen Rossi’s new relationship with Slade Smiley has some Bravo execs pulling hairs. Smiley was one of the original cast members on the show when he was dating Jo De La Rosa. When Smiley and La Rosa starred in a spin-off show, "Date My Ex," it flopped, which leaves the network skeptical of re-introducing Smiley to the show.
Quite the drama — onscreen and off!

A countess, you say, being dumped via email?
Classy!
