Report: Rose O'Donnell Jealous About Partner's Relationship With Actress Julia Murney

There may be turmoil in the house of Rosie O’Donnell. The entertainer reportedly blew a gasket when she learned that her partner was getting a little too close for comfort to Broadway star Julia Murney.

The 40-year-old Murney — who has appeared in such shows as "Wicked" — has been friends with O’Donnell and Kelli Carpenter for years, but a source told The National Enquirer that O’Donnell had a fit when she learned the two women may have given each other a friendly kiss.

From The National Enquirer:

Rosie is very protective of Kelli and really freaked out when she heard about the lip lock," The source told The Enquirer. "Rosie believed she was being betrayed, and it erupted into a nasty and bitter showdown with Kelli over her perceived cheating — even though Kelli told Rosie she and Julia were only friends and nothing more."

This apparently is adding fuel to the fire of rumors that perhaps Murney and Carpenter were getting close when they both missed an R Family Vacations gay families cruise in 2007. Although spokesmen for both Murney and O’Donnell say this is much ado about nothing, it is being reported that Carpenter has since severed some ties with her friend. The entire story comes out in the April 13 issue of The National Enquirer.

Meanwhile, Out magazine has released it’s 3rd Annual Power 50 and O’Donnell dropped from #31 last year to #42 this year.

Out says:

We’ll admit it: The world is quieter, and maybe even a bit more boring, without daily updates from the mouth of Rosie. (She’s even abandoned her blog, at least for the time being.) And though her variety show, Rosie Live, was canceled after one episode, she scored a hit with her Lifetime movie, America, a drama about a foster child. Love her or hate her, give the lady credit: When it comes to advocating for kids, there’s no one with a bigger heart — or more power to enlighten."

Also on the list: former Recording Industry Association of America CEO and Huffington Post contributing pundit Hilary Rosen (#46); former Deputy LA Mayor Nancy Sutley (#40), now an environmental adviser to President Obama; actress Jodie Foster, who dropped from #13 to #36; comedienne Wanda Sykes (#35); finance guru Suze Orman moved from #24 to #22; U.S. Rep. Tammy Baldwin, D-WI (#11); MSNBC phenom Rachel Maddow (#4); and talk-show host Ellen DeGeneres (#2).

"The entertainer reportedly blew a gasket…"

When does she not ‘blow a gasket" over something?

My god Rosie looks horrible in that picture.  She always seems to be the center of bad manners.

Rosie has seemed eccentric for a long time with a short fuse, if she is pleased everything is okay, otherwise she is unglued. Living with her would be like walking a tightrope made of egg shells.

I am not saying Kelli would have been right, but she is one person that would have the right to say "What about me?".

I was never a Rosie fan and all I can say is that I feel for her wife and her kids b/c it seems if you disagree with Rosie you get her wrath…I feel like she wouldnt allow them to have opinions of their own.

I am so surprised at what Rosie has become. I used to love her, and adore her. Not any longer.  I thought she was raised better than this?

I always empathized with Rosie as I lost my mom early in life as well. She was funny and friendly; Her Rosie talkshow was what a TV talker should be. Somewhere along the line she changed; she got mean and convinced herself that she was always right. There was a rigidity of opinion; of spirit in her. Remember the Tom Selleck attack by the Queen of Nice? I cannot imagine her accepting any disagreement on any level. I hope Kelli is strong for their kids; and I hope Rosie gets the balance and good nature she once had back.

I’m with your sentiments on Rosie. I loved her talk show and even loved her on The View. I don’t know what’s happened to her good nature. I wish shed get the help she probably needs. I’d hate to see her family break up.

It makes me so sad that Rosie has changed so drastically.  I also use to love her so much but as soon as her political views and opinions started to be such a big part of her show and who she was, I just quit watching her.  It was so sad because she is so talented and funny and I felt like something just snapped.  I just wish her well and more so, the children and her wife K. Carpenter.  It has been a big loss the last couple of years without the funny and very loving Rosie.

I’m surprised that WOW would print this garbage about Rosie.  For the truth, go to Rosie.com

I believe Rosie has always been a loose cannon.   She’s a loud mouth and overbearing.   Recently she was on the Martha Stewart Show and behaved like a spoiled brat.   Obviously, she has a serious case of low selfesteem.

Not a fan of hers.    Rosie creates her own garbage for all to see.

This does not break my heart….rosie brought this on herself….at one time she had a great talk show and people could relate to her, she was actually funny….then something clicked and she just lost it and lost respect from her viewers….she became a very angry woman and just a big old bully……it’s really too bad!  Kelly would be smart to get out of the relationship now if this is what she is dealing with….jealousy will not work in any relationship….watch out Kelly.

Stop it!  We all go thru tough times and change.  if you read you husband kissed someone in a newspaper you would be bitter too.  I have read that Kelli left Rosie due to mood swings.  I think, she left because she figured she could get some good easy cash.  Her company( or is it Rosies) R Family vacations just moved to Park ave, before that she was working out of one of the properties Rosie owns.  i think she is a gold digger. We all have faults, but taking money because you mate has depression issues is sick.
