Stephen Colbert Twitters | 03/19/2009 12:35 pm

Stephen Colbert, Meredith Vieira Talk About Twitter on 'Today' Show (Video)

By The Staff at wowOwow.com
Stephen Colbert on NBC's 'Today'

Appearing on the "Today" show about his upcoming Dreamworks movie, "Monsters Vs. Aliens," Stephen Colbert may have made a Freudian slip. Toward the end of his interview, Colbert used the wrong verb to describe the action of updating his status on the social-networking website, Twitter.com

While most of the interview can be found on the "Today" show website (and posted below this article), NBC edited out the final 30 seconds of the segment … and we think we know why. In case you missed the morning news, when Meredith Vieira asked the "Colbert Nation" host if he tweets or twitters, the comedian’s response left Vieira — and us — blushing: "I have twatted."

From TMZ:

Tell us: Do you "tweet" on Twitter? It seems Stephen Colbert does; click here for Colbert’s Twitter page. Clueless about this techy website, where users can follow other users by constantly updating their status? Visit the website of wOw friend, Columbia University journalism professor and multimedia genius Sree Sreenivasan for tips on using Twitter, Facebook and more.

The internet can drive you crazy. You could sit at your computer all day and half the night reading stuff and replying to stuff, and there goes your life. Now we have Twitter to add to it all. The tip site made me nearly faint. So much to do, so little time.

Not everyone is a comedian, but he did try. :laughs: Good one.

I enjoy blogs when I have time, but usually I’m too busy.  I do try to at least write here from time to time now that I found it. :smiles:

LOL, Stephen Colbert is  whip smart and his comedy and his show always are a guarantee chuckle!  I’m sure he planned the "goof"…it seems like something that he would do…
