Susan Boyle Sings 'Cry Me a River' | 04/17/2009 8:15 am

Susan Boyle Stuns Again! Scotland Paper Finds Recording of 'Cry Me a River' (Video)

If you think Susan Boyle’s rendition of "I Dreamed a Dream" from "Les Miserables" blew you away, you should really hear her breathtaking version of "Cry Me a River."

Scottish newspaper The Daily Record has uncovered a 1999 recording of Boyle singing the track, which she did for a charity CD. Only 1,000 copies of the CD were ever produced, according to the Record. And the 47-year-old single woman does not disappoint; in fact, she stuns once again.

Boyle told CNN this morning that she’s absolutely "gob smacked" by all the attention she has received literally overnight for her powerful vocals. Her "Britain’s Got Talent" performance has already received 15 million YouTube hits in just a few days.

"I’m enjoying every second of it," Boyle told CNN of her sudden fame. "I wouldn’t want to change myself too much, because that would make things a bit false … I want people to see the real me, the real person."

Not only is Boyle down-to-earth and staying true to who she is – but she also is witty. She told Britain’s Daily Mirror that being on the talent show is a "dream come true," but after watching her performance, the one thing she could think about wasn’t about how she had just electrified nations, but how she looked like "a garage."

"They say that television makes you look fat and it certainly did," she told the Mirror. "I looked like a garage. It was mortifying to see and a bit of a shock. I didn’t realize I could reduce people to tears and I hope it wasn’t because of that." Don’t worry, Susan — people weren’t crying because of your wardrobe, but because you inspired us all.

And you knew this was coming: Word has it Boyle may soon be a guest on Oprah Winfrey’s show. Talk about a feat!

They both have those old souls that only some people truly get blessed with.

This woman’s talent is just too incredible! She just oozes talent with that voice! It’s just too bad she had to wait so long to perform. Wish Sinatra was still here.. they could have done a duet!

My god, her voice is sooo good.  As is her phrasing; for her, it’s about the words, as Sinatra used to say.

I hope she can handle what is about to happen to her;  she will no longer be ignored now that she has "come out" so to speak..
