Susan Boyle's Hotel Rant Makes World Headlines (Update)

Some Londoners saw an ugly side of "Britain’s Got Talent" sweetheart Susan Boyle yesterday.
The Sun reports that Boyle, who wowed the world with her rendition of "I Dreamed a Dream," lost her cool in the lobby of a North London hotel when two strangers tried to "wind her up." She was heard yelling: "How f***ing dare you! You can’t f***ing talk to me like that!"
Eventually, police who were nearby tried to intervene. Boyle was reportedly furious and crying, then "marched out of the hotel," one witness told the paper. "It took her a long time to calm down from whatever upset her. She was breathing heavily and in a terrible rag. The pressure is obviously getting to Susan. Perhaps all the fame is too much for her."
But Boyle’s spokeswoman said today that a tabloid reporter was responsible for getting her worked up. The 48-year-old Scottish woman has been nicknamed "The Hairy Angel" and mocked on the American TV show "South Park," notes the Times.
“A journalist from a tabloid paper provoked her, the police just happened to be at the hotel and escorted said journalist out after making sure Susan was OK.”
Stay tough, Susan. Don’t let anyone get you down! We think you’re fantastic!
UPDATE: ‘Talent’ judge Piers Morgan penned a piece for The Daily Beast. In said piece - entitled "Susan Boyle is Crying - And My Heart Bleeds," Morgan urges the public - and press - to celebrate, rather than pick apart, Boyle’s success: Susan’s just a sweet, middle-aged lady from a Scottish village, who can’t really comprehend the sheer scale of what’s happened to her," he writes. "And far from decrying her, shouldn’t we all be celebrating the amazing journey she has gone on…"

If the reporter was being mean to her… more power to her. She has the right as a human being to go off on someone like that. On the other hand if it was unprovoked… whatever. she’s still a person. I can thank the high heavens that i’ve never been in the public spotlight. I have one particularly lovely rant at a dry cleaner once that if i’d been famous…. oh boy… would have been SUPER embarrassing. The woman’s a singer… not a saint.
GT…you are on it today girl!!! I use them to wipe off the chicken packages that seem to sweat and leak before putting them on the conveyor belt….are we not suppose to do that? Oooops!
