Suspect in Model Jasmine Fiore's Murder, Ryan Jenkins, Found Dead in Canada Hotel Room (Video)

Jasmine Fiore, 28, was strangled, had her fingers cut off and teeth removed to presumably prevent her from being identified, was stuffed in a suitcase and dumped in a trash bin in California before anyone found her. The former swimsuit model was identified later through the serial number on her breast implants. Her ex-husband, Ryan Jenkins, was believed to be the killer, and he led police on an international chase after Fiore’s body was found. The 32-year-old real-estate developer and investor was a contestant on VH1’s reality show, "Megan Wants a Millionaire."
But today, the news is that Jenkins was found dead in a motel room in Vancouver, Canada. Both of his parents live in that country. Police were looking for an unidentified woman who checked into the hotel with him, but when they entered the room, they found that he had apparently hanged himself with his own belt.
People who knew Jenkins described him as a "good guy," but he had this past spring been chargd with "battery constituting domestic violence" against Fiore.
"The sadness of this all is that Mr. Jenkins will not stand before an Orange County jury for his crimes," said Buena Park Police Lt. Steve Holliday.
Robert Hasman — the ex-boyfriend Fiore was texting on the night before she was murdered — joined Fiore’s mom, Lisa Lapore, on the "Today Show" this morning. Hasman said, "I was happy that Ryan … that he killed himself."
"It brings some closure to what’s been going on," Lapore said, noting that now there’s no worry "the professional con man" is a threat to any other women or men. "We still have a long process to closure." Lapore told "Good Morning America" that she always thought Jenkins was "dangerous."

I wonder about some of the contestants in this rash of reality shows . I am no fan, but the few times I have tuned in to see what all the hype is about, many of those involved seem to be of questionable character or do not have " all oars in the water”. All it takes are the bizarre escapades and challenges of some reality shows to push an unbalanced person over the edge. Perhaps all he needed was that push. Of course, this bizarre behavior is what drives ratings.
They walk among us, and that is frightening.
