I would say thank you. When she looked into the camera during the Oscar broadcast and said, " you can get here from there" I believed her. And I sat down and wrote a movie and made it. My life has been a miracle. I am forever grateful to her.

I have been a fan of Whoopie’s for so long. To myself, she represents possibilties! So I guess I would ask her what that one thing is in her that inspires her from within. That something you cannot buy or sell, just posess that keeps you going forward! SHe is one of three I would like to meet someday, or actually see in person.

When you were you on welfare, and I’m sure you despared, how in the world did you get out of that? Was it luck and people who knew you and believed in you?

CORRECTION: (spelling and punctuation) How come you can see this better after it’s been published?   When you were you on welfare, and I’m sure you despaired, how in the world did you get out of that? Was it luck and people who knew you and believed in you?   Actually, I think the answer is that perseveance took over. Friends were in the same situation and they couldn’t help. But strangers in stand-up comedy acts started noticing you. I think that’s the answer that led to opportunities.

Whoopi, first of all "thank you" for the laughter! I have watched most of your work if not all. Tell me, were you funny and quick with your answers as a child?  How did your mother react?

Hi Whoopi,

If someone gave you one wish, you could go back in time and change one thing about your life.  What would you change?

Hi, Whoopi!  I loved your character in Star Trek Next Generation.  Would you have liked to develope the character further?  Glimpses into Guinan’s life were fascinating and always left me wanting to know more.

Whoopi, you are a very remarkable person. Do you think you’ll ever write an autobiography?

what do you think being famous has done to your psyche/soul/personality (not sure what to call it but you probably get the point!)? Has it made you fearful of going out? or disgusted of people? Do you have to think about it a lot?

You are a role model for many people today. Did you have a role model growing up? Is that person still able to influence you?

Do you see any of who you are (or were) as a woman in the character Celie you played in the movie A Color Purple?

Do you believe in a sixth sense, the ability not so much to be contacted by a spirit as your character in GHOST was, but in a sense that is connected to a deeper field of consciousness and wisdom from which we can draw inspiration?

Because of you Whoopi I started watching the view.  I like your fair & balanced attidtude.  My question to you is who did you have the most fun with in making a movie.  Another question when will you do standup again with Robbin Williams & Billy Crystal

Write an autobiography, it will sell like hotcakes.  you are one of the most "put to gether" people I have ever seen.  I am 70 (two days ago) and i watch you every day.  I know you are nowhere near that age but you make me feel young and involved, I don’t know why D—- it, just take it and like it.  LOL!
