Autumn hands down if you live where the leaves turn colors. I grew up in IN and went to college in upstate NY and IN and loved the fall.  My b-day is also in Oct.  When I moved to AZ for grad school and then TX I missed the autumn of my childhood and youth. In TX I would say spring is at its best - the beautiful wild flowers. Now living in SoCal and would say all seasons are equal.  I have told my husband and others that when I die I do want some of my ashes buried in IN in a park on a beautiful Oct day.

Fall in the lower Hudson Valley region is glorious. We’re blessed with maple trees that - given the proper summer conditions of moisture etc. - turn the hills to a wonderful patchwork of gold, scarlet, amber and yellow, interspersed with the deep green of pine trees. I love the cool nights, the crisp air, the visits to the farmstands to buy apples. And for some reason, in the fall, I always feel a little more energy than at other seasons - a little more urge to create, too. As the year winds down, I seem to want to cram more "doing" in!

I love Spring, Summer and Fall. But for some reason, Fall inspires my inner "chef" more than the others. October is when I go crazy in the kitchen.

Like many of my fellow posters, I enjoy autumn, best of the four seasons. The leaves falling and changing colors, along with "gaining" an hour (when we "fall back"), celebrating my birthday, the next day welcoming Trick or Treaters and giving thanks, this year, on Thursday, November 26th.

The best weather in any country I’ve been to around the world (England, France, Holland, Switzerland, Austria, Scotland, every State in the Union including Alaska & Hawaii, Australia, Thailand, Philippines, Hong Kong, Turkey) is in Autumn. Since being outdoors is the thing we do on vacations, Autumn gets my vote.

However, I will say that any season is great as long as you’re prepared for it.

Autumn.

I lived most of my life in the mid-Atlantic region, and autumn is by far my favorite season.

Winter is lovely under a blanket of snow, the new greens of spring always give me a new lease on life. Autumn is without a doubt, the most beautiful, but I still prefer summer above them all!

I love long days, walking barefoot, and feeling the warm sun on my skin.  I don’t know why, but I always feel my best during summer.

I once complained to a doctor that I always felt cold.  After several tests she explained that I must simply be part lizard.  No wonder I’m happiest when the sun shines, hibernating when the cold air comes along!

Ooh tough one to answer. I love fall because of the changing of the leaves and the crisp smell in the air. But Spring on the other hand is a time of rebirth. Trees and flowers bloom, birds chirp and you can just feel a new sense of warmth in the air. It’s ambrosia!

I’m torn on this one…..

Winter is my favorite…I love the clothes, the holiday colors, the food associated with cold days. To have a good book, a cup of hot chocolate and a warm wrap, sitting by the window reading is the best time for me. I love the coziness of it while I look out at the cold, winter day.

Both Spring and Fall, spring after the cold winter is wonderful with all the flowers and green and fall after the hot summer is refreshing.

Depends on where I’m living.

In Texas, it has to be Autumn after the grueling 100 degree temperatures are over. Warm winters are nice too.

In New York it’s the Spring after the horrible winters. I absolutely hated shoveling the driveway and scraping snow off my car to go to work in Albany. Or when I lived in Manhattan, I hated walking to work in the snow to get to the subway.

Ditto on the comments about New England. The fall is so spectacular that we adore being here. And like Chicago, we here in Maine are never bored by the weather. We even love the winter until March, then we are done!!! We live near a large river and each season, the look of the river is different and glorious when we go out in the am. We are very lucky to live here.

Fall is my favorite because of the cool weather. I have trouble brae-thing when it is to hot. So the fall is the best for me, And the color of the leaves.

Spring is my favorite season because of the sense of renewal it offers, not to mention the warmer temperatures! A heavy weight is lifted after the long, cold & dark winters here in New England. Can you tell, winter is my least favorite?
