I have tried every mascara there is and I found the best to be LanCome’s Hypnose. And my "must have" is the new 15 hour eye shadow by Estee Lauder. Of course it must be good they have already discontinued some of the colors…..and the only things they EVER discontinue are the winners!!
I must add I can not give up my neck creme by Clarins. It’s called Jennesse du Cou Advanced Extra-firming neck cream. I will be 65 in November and my 50ish friends are using it now because they say their necks look older than mine!
Ponds cold cream. My mom and aunts used it; it’s been a women’s family staple. I love Rimmel lipstick; so moist, those Brits are on to something! Last, Gold Bond Ultimate Restoring Lotion ( CoQ10). It feels just marvelous after a shower!
I was a Ponds cold cream girl but now I do like Oil of Olay non wrinkle. Tried every expensive brand and as long as you moisterize there all the same. I’m 63 always in good shape and I make sure that I try to look my best when I go out. I use Lorel dark brown Masscara and find for someone like me who has puny thin lashes that it helps and looks thicker. The trick is to use eye pads at night to clean it off your eyes or you will look like a racoon in the morning.
I’m ADDICTED to benefit’s badgal lash mascara. I use the black but they also make it in blue and a nice plum color. it makes my lashes look longer and thicker than they are. As far as moisturizers, i love all of olay’s products for face and body.
Two must haves - the perfect lipstick to brighten the overall look and a signature fragance to be remembered by (just don’t apply too much so you come in the room before the fragrance does).
Sunscreen! Sunscreen! It’s not just for a day at the beach. It ensures my skin will be beautiful no matter what the season. I also can’t live without my favorite seasonal scent, JLo’s Sunkissed Glow. It reminds me of a day at the beach.
I am a pale skinned, blue eyed redheaded Celtic woman. For me blush and foundation are key otherwise people think I’m sick or about to faint. Sunscreen because I burn, peel and turn pale again; and keeping my skin cleaned and moisturized always!
Mascara helps, but often I use a little brown shadow and liner and just go with that. I firmly believe if you have blue eyes go with brown colors and browns with blue tones.
I also tend to use little makeup and more creams for skin. I will be 58 on the 31st. and people routinely put my age in the late forties. I attribute this to staying out of the sun and staying moisturized.
Givenchy’s Phenomenon mascara is fabulous—instead of the conventional wand shaped shaped head, Givenchy has created a new innovated design which is a small sphere shaped ball, ensuring that every lash is covered! I love it… Chance perfume by Chanel is my go-to scent. I also love anything Nars, they have fabulous products… Especially their ‘Orgasm’ blush.
Shu Uemura make up brushes—expensive, but the best brushes I’ve ever used. They blend powders, blushes, and eyeshadows to perfection!
Shu Uemura colorless loose powder—will not change the color of your foundation and does not go on white like so many so called colorless loose powders. Hands down one of the best loose powders on the market—and I’ve tried just about every brand including the minerals.
Shu Uemura blushes—sheer colors; so many blushes tend to be opaque and you end up looking like BoBo the Clown. Shu Uemura’s blushes go on light and sheer.
MAC Studio Sculpt SPF 15 Foundation—this stuff stays put; I have oily skin and I am very active, yet it never looks oily and doesn’t slide off my face. My face looks great even after playing a round of golf in the hot California sun.
MAC Prep + Prime SPF 50—a non-greasy sunblock for the face; doesn’t cause breakouts; doesn’t cause my foundation to slide off.
Bobbi Brown Eyeshadows—best naturals/nudes on the market IMO—can’t live without Shell, Naked, and Heather.
DiorShow Mascara—mascara now makes up 35% of all their cosmetic sales and with good reason, this stuff will make thin, skimpy lashes look thick and lush. Love, love, love my DiorShow.

I wholly disagree with "Lancaster Beauty Expert" stating a "must have"
is a "signature fragrance" Fragrance is a known irritant.
Many corporations, courts, governments, and other public entities have banned the wearing of fragrance because of the health concerns. One need only look at the vast array of fragrance free products on the market to realize the health issues surrounding fragrance and people with allergies and
respiratory conditions like asthma. When corporation titans like Proctor & Gamble begin removing fragrance from their products, there is obviously a real health concern for millions of people.
I have so many must-have products, but my latest is Bobbi Brown’s Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner. It comes in 17 shades - yes 17! It applies so easily, it does not iriate my sensitive, contact lens wearing eyes and it LASTSALLDAY!
