I wonder if any of the original cast & crew from the original Star Trek TV series will attend? I enjoyed that show. Producer Gene Roddenberry was a visionary. The flip-open cell phones everyone uses today were patterned after the hand-held devices depicted on that show. Star Trek correctly predicted the use of desk-top computers. I wouldn’t be surprised if a contraption similar to the show’s transporter is devised within the next century that would allow people to travel great distances instantly through the energization of their bodies’ molecules.

Well, I should’ve watched the video clip before I typed. Ha! Sounds like several crewsmembers will be beaming up for the wedding.

James, you got me all worked up over our radio convo … thank you for sharing! I also wanted to tell you how sorry I was for making that comment about the you in thigh high stockings and a gui (sounds fun). I have a problem with men and I was pickin’ on you because I did not understand why you were here. I have been reading your posts …. you are a very sharp man and I am very sorry that I made that comment. Please accept my apology.

No worries, and thanks for the compliment. I got on this website when I found out that Marlo Thomas was part of it; I’m crazy about her, and I knew it would have to be of good caliber if she were involved. I really enjoy women’s company; I have lived alone for a number of years, and I was raised around almost exclusively women as a child: my mother, sisters, babysitters and teachers. If the very concept of feminism and progressive thinking is to break down barriers and prejudices, what better way for that to be exemplified than having a man writing on a women’s website? Marlo’s great film from years ago, “Free to Be….You and Me” addressed these very issues pertaining to societal roles that men and women are pigeon-holed into. You sound like a good person, Blue.

I think you said it correctly the first time, “Dram”, as in all the drama FIX News drums up.

A pity that Gene Roddenberry, DeForrest Kelly, and James Doohan did not live long enough to see it.

They can see it better than we can, in my opinion.
