The Daily Show's Jon Stewart's Fabulous Take Down of CNBC (Video)

CNBC, the business cable channel, has long been a promoter of many of the companies at the heart of the economic melt down.  Jon Stewart just reminded them (and us) of this in his opening monologue

I guess I’m a loser, then.  Stwart talks about issues that most news people gloss over.  I watch him on a regular basis.  I guess that makes me a loser!

Kathrine, hon, you are no loser. You just haven’t seen "the light" like the rest of us women posting here. No worries….

You are my kind of "loser" Kathrine! A person smart enough to enjoy Jon Stewart’s biting wit and political commentary. Some people only ‘get’ the ranting lunatics on FOX or slap stick comedy.

Brilliant ….. but it begs the question  Who the hell DOES know what is going on, and who do we listen to  ???    "Dr Doom" Nouriel Roubini ? YIKES

❊ Side note … I was in NYC on saturday, walking around the Museum of Natural History and who do I see ? Jon Stewart with his two young children, being a good dad taking them to a museum on a Sat morning … way to go, Jon !

I choose to listen to our President because HE has the interests of the country in mind. All the shouting hacks on CNBC and FOX only have their ratings in mind.

DeB, you’re right. Charlie Rose had Felix Rowayton on last night and he said Obama  has surrounded himself with exactly the right people to advise him.

I was talking about the "money" people who are telling us what to do with our 101K ( formally 401K ☹ ) Take it out, keep it in, move it here, move it there, work til you’re 100 !

Geez, after another bad day in the market, you may be right. At least we still CAN work, I feel sorry for people who are retired and can’t work !

Now THAT is funny. Rush has the interests of his contract in mind, PERIOD. His contract relies upon sponsors and he will do or say anything to keep himself in the limelight in order to have the publicity he needs to bring in the money. Mark my words, one day Limbaugh will retire and he’ll tell all you right wing sheep just what he REALLY thinks of you and your Republican party and how he laughed all the way to the bank.

EKA,  Go read some of Dr. Roubini’s papers from about 2-5 yrs. ago; he predicted this.  And some old Charlie Rose conversations they held together are downright providential.
