Oprah Winfrey, Andrea Jung and Cathie Black were deemed "all-stars" in Fortune’s 50 Most Powerful Women in Business list for ranking every year since the list premiered in 1998. Chairman and CEO of PepsiCo Indra Nooyi topped the list this year — a feat she also accomplished in 2008, 2007 and 2006.

We’d also like to tip our hats to Google’s VP of Search and User Experience Marissa Mayer, who at the age of 34 is the youngest power woman on the block. In March 2009, our own Lesley Stahl interviewed Marissa about the future of the Web and more. Click here to read it.

Congratulations to all 50 women for your hard work, smarts and reaching for the stars! To view the complete list of Fortune’s 2009 50 Most Powerful Women in Business list, click hereTell us: Who, in your opinion, is the most powerful woman in business?

Darn it, another year and my name is absent.  Maybe next year…:-)

I’m going to have to go with Oprah Winfry again. For me, a truly powerful business woman (or man) is one who is all encompassing. One that has their pulse on different venues and projects that have affect on the masses. Oprah has television, production companies, radio, movies, merchandising, magazines…and all are excelling. That is power.

So as is the case with politicians, celebrities or business women and men, you may not like their personalities or say you find them annoying, but for many, you can’t deny their sheer genius and savvy when it comes to their respective careers.I for one adore Oprah and continue to be amazed by her brilliant business mind and moves.

Belinda,

I’m with you.  I adore Oprah.

I think she has such a positive way about her entire life…..business, or personal.

She comes from an optimistic view on most things.  She’s caring and shares her wealth

with so many people around the World.  I believe her wealth came to her because of the

inner person she is. She truly believes she has a mission on this Earth and works daily to achieve her goals.

She makes me feel good just listening to her……..her warmth could unfreeze a Mountain of ice.

What a Role Model she is to the Young women in this World.

I feel blessed to inhabit the same time and space.

I’m so moved and proud of women doing what use to be a man’s dominated world.  Look how far we come, but the best is yet to come.  Soon I hope you can add me onto  the  list.  Now that’s good company to be assoicated with.

I wish I could have read more about the Pepsico woman. I don’t understand what puts her at the top of the list? I guess I’ll have to go find the full article.

Who knows? So far there is only one "personality" on the list that I recognize. The others might as well be stealth CEOs, all of them flying under the radar … I suppose those who read the financial pages would know them, but not me. So in my small world, the most powerful woman I know is my daughter — wife, mother, homemaker, teacher, daughter, friend …
