I feel your pocketbook pain, Miss Jane.  However, things are looking a little better lately.  Stocks finished strong this week—in fact, the past four weeks have shown improvement.  Keep your fingers crossed.

I have increased my 401k contribution in late 2006 from 5% to 30%.  It’s only a bad thing if you are cashing in and retiring in the next couple of years.  Otherwise, this is cyclical and we have to invest in our economy in order for it to continue.  I just wish the government would disallow short selling.  It is creating much more trouble than we need.
