In response to: In getting ahead in your career, what – if any – biases have you encountered? Did you confront them?
Biases? In the newspaper business — against women? I seem to recall a few. But the men didn’t notice and then didn’t agree that it was important. So we got their attention by suing them. And we won.

That does tend to grab someone’s attention, doesn’t it? Law doesn’t change attitudes. But lawsuits for some reason do.

I have to say I would so love to read your autobiography, if you were to ever write it. You seem to have led a very intersting life.
