Report: Ruth Madoff Off the Hook for Now for Husband's Ponzi Scheme

Reports say ten more people are being investigated for Madoff-related scam activities; for now, Bernie’s wife may be in the clear.

Ruth Madoff may very well be off the hook for any alleged wrongdoing when it comes to her role in hubby Bernard Madoff’s illegal business dealings.

The New York Post reports today that Mrs. Madoff won’t be prosecuted for anything related to Bernie’s $65 billion Ponzi scheme, since there is a lack of evidence that she was involved in — or even knew of — his scam. One source said that after a six-month investigation into her financial records and after talking to many people, they found "no criminal exposure" for Ruth. Ruth yesterday said she, too, was a victim of her husband’s deceit.

But that doesn’t necessarily mean she’s in the clear forever. For months, speculation has been swirling that Ruth, the two Madoff sons and others could be prosecutors’ next targets — especially now that Bernie has been sentenced to 150 years in prison. Many Madoff victims think there’s no way the family couldn’t have known something about Bernie’s scheming, since his entire business was a family affair. Newsday talked to legal sources who agree that Bernard Madoff didn’t act alone. It has been reported that at least ten more people could face charges. CBS News reports that more than 100 subpoenas have been sent out by federal prosecutors in the Madoff case.

"As for Madoff’s particular case, the very idea that he acted alone utterly beggars belief," writes Randall Forsyth at Barrons.

What do you think? Could Ruth Madoff and her two sons, who worked with Bernard, really have been ignorant about his schemes?

Neither she nor the sons are out of the woods yet. There remains a lot more story here.

So true F P…where are the bureaucrats that were warned over 8 times…in writing about Madoff? Ask why they are not being brought into question here….They ALLOWED the scam to go on…. Ask yourself why this circus does not include the government entities that KNEW and did nothing…

Why? Why would the government want for this financial chaos to hit…Why at that time? Who benefits from the crisis? What changes have happened in our Nation because of the economic collapse?

And more importantly…what changes are still to be inacted? Why are we being lead down this path? Yes, there is much more to this story….but the Madoff’s are bit players. They were necessary to inact the crisis.

Nationalization of America.

Wall street, bankers…it was necessary for the public to get hurt to support the government takeover under the guise of protecting the public.

We are being used. Madoff was the perfect sting….and the government knew all about it.

The most important question is ; When will Americans stop being manipulated by this government?

HI JIM: I’m a beautiful, busty, young blonde - are you available?  Oh, I almost forgot - I’ve also got this bridge in Brooklyn - I was willing to sell to Ruthie, but maybe you’d be a better buyer.  If you’ve got "the money" - I’ve got the bridge.  Maybe all three of us could  partner on the bridge.  I’ll settle for 2/3 mill and 1/3 bridge.  What do you say?

I hope they continue to investigate this and I think eventually it will all come out.  Liars, cheaters and deviant behavior has a way of showing it’s ugly face.
