wow… depressing piece… looking at the photo of elizabeth Taylor, Eddie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds it made me think about how much society has changed it’s idea of what a beautiful woman is. Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston are the modern day counter parts to the fisher, reynolds, taylor trio… and the modern day aniston and jolie look anorexic compared to taylor and reynolds. The note said the Taylor was considered one of the most beautiful women in the world then… now Jolie is… there has to be a 40 pound weight difference between the two. funny how as our nation gets fatter our ideal gets thinner…

How did I miss the Paula Zahn divorce! (Not that I’m sad about it.) The Donald shows up twice. Nice work.

Jennifer Aniston was on Letterman last night. She is such an ordinary, empty-headed woman…no wonder Brad fell in love with Jolie. Very intelligent and does things/talks about things, other than herself.

Agreed…although I do think Jolie is probably a bit nutty. But alas, being a bit nutty myself, one is infinitely more interesting!

I think either one of Trump’s wives would have gotten more satisfaction if they had shaved his head while he was sleeping.

I love how Ellen Barkin publicly sold her jewelry and shamed Perelman. For her it was about love, for him it was about money. It’s a wonder anyone gets married anymore.

Divorce is always difficult, but when it is made public as is the case with celebrities, it takes on a level of pain that I don’t think most of us appreciate. We forget (as do I) that they may be wealthy and well known, but they still have insecurities, flaws, sexual and/or alcohol and drug issues, problems with their kids, etc. that become fodder in the news. It’s got to be rough for some of these couples. I have no desire to be married, but who among us would want our most intimate moments splashed on the front page of a national magazine or on an entertainment news show?

i agree with Belinda to a certain extent, I don’t believe we should put celebrities through that, but I also believe that it is ridiculous of them to think that we won’t. Humans are a malevolent lot, we want to bring the celebrities “down” to our level and the only way to do that is to revel in their misery. I personally feel sorry for the likes of Brittany Spears and Madonna, but in truth, I also believe that in a sick, twisted way they use their woes as a way to stay in the public eye. As the saying goes…”bad publicity is better than no publicity”
