wow… these are the BEST dressed? Anna Wintour looks good but average and the lady in the pin stripe pantsuit looked good and not average but the rest… wow… what money CAN’T buy huh?

Guess I don’t understand style. Glad I can’t afford it anyhow, none of these tempted me.

Real style died with Jackie and Audrey. Although Anna Wintour and Ines de la Fressange are fun to see. I often like how Anna W puts things together: http://hauteconcept.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/06/anna-wintour-62508-1…. Jackie and Audrey weren’t herd animals. Jacqueline de Ribes used to look pretty good…now too stiff and what’s with the flower labels? Trying too hard and letting their look be dictated by what is coming UP from the street. Simple chic looks best, IMO.

Oh Wowowow…surely you jest. These “best dressed” are some of the worst best dressed people I’ve seen in a long time. Thanks for the chuckle!

Ok, can someone just explain Suzy Menkes to me?…

Is this a joke? This was my first look at the website…..it may be my last. Sorry, this is no way a best dressed list.

Why can’t Suzy Menkes see what we see when she looks in the mirror? She certainly is brave walking about with that lump of hair on the top of her head for all these years. Doesn’t she have a sense of the ridiculous? Or is this irony? That is the usual excuse these days. And why does Miuccia Prada always look like an Italian hausfrau? (I am not clever enough to know what that is in Italian!) If she was on ‘What Not To Wear’ she would have been divested of that baggy jumper years ago. Why is that those who purport to advise us on style don’t look as though they would recognise it if it slapped them in the face? Anna Wintour is a bit of an exception I must admit and Jacqueline de Ribes looks pretty impressive for 77. Oh well, I will limp along on my own, raiding TK Maxx (in the UK), Century 21 and Loehman’s (when in NY, as I was last week) and doing the best I can. I wonder how much worse they would look on restricted budgets.
