OMG, I’d just kill for Jane Wagner’s bookcases. I might want a bit larger desk (where’s the printer?), but love the circular room.

I really envy “Jane Wagner’s desk”, —it looks like a liberary! It must be an amazing feeling when you stand out of them! MARVELOUS DESK!

My desk used to be my father’s in his psychiatric practice. It has sort of a soft gray coating with his nail prints in it from clenching during what he said was boring talk. He also used to slam his fingers in the drawer to stay awake, he told us. Remember that if you get therapy. LOL. Sort of kidding. I also have a long bank table we bought when the S&Ls blew up during the last financial crisis. I am not too into symbolism or I would scream all day and never stop.

Please…This seems so egocentric and unlike the otherwise excellent quality of WOW. Please do not repeat this type of exposure. Please stay with your usual wonderful exchange of feelings, thoughts, and provocative ideas. Pictures of desks? No, thank you.

JB….Hey, it beats all the incessant questions regarding the Democratic Race and the constant repeating and same constant constant!!!! I think the quality of WOW goes down the drain when we have to keep relating how we feel about this election. We’ve got a long way to go before it’s ALL over. So, for now, I’ll take pictures of hogs in a trough or anything other than any more of the same questions!

JB - Ah, well, variety IS the spice of live. I like the fact that they mix it up. If a particular question or subject doesn’t spark my interest, I just skip it. The cool thing is I know that there will always be something just around the corner.

Actually, J Boylynn, I enjoyed seeing these things. Made them seem a little more human and down to earth to me. I love that Miss Manner’s husband made that lovely desk. I also love it that Jane Wagner has the fabulous room she does to write in. I love that Ms. Buck and I have the most similar desks, with great abstract art above. I think it’s really interesting as a writer to see what solutions others have come up with for work spaces. I’d actually love to see their kitchens.

Oh, no, no, no J. Boylynn. I loved this desk thingi. In fact, think it would be fun for all of us to send pics of our desks. I love my desk, loved Lilly’s LA desk too, but we would have to change the pillows to purple unless my daughter came to visit, then we’d put the orange pillows back.

I would love to have lily’s desk! HAHA! Love the portable old school hair dryer and jukebox! Ok question, Is that a picture from 9to5 on Ernestine’s desk?

I’m a freak for home offices. Love seeing how everyone sets themselves up. Every one here has its own je ne sais quoi. A view through the trees, visions of the oval office, a cozy old library, Mary Well’s inviting chair… but if I was voting, Liz Smith’s desk would be my favorite. You just know things are cookin’ in there!

Wow oh wow I have never seen an office as lovely as Jane Wagner’s. I thought I’d died and gone to heaven when I saw that bookcase and circular too! Wow surely no president of the United States could have had a better office really!!! How do manage to write on such a small desk though? My desk is usually cluttered up with books and CD’s and papers although as I write this it is suprisingly clean. I never seem to have enough book shelf space but something like Jane’s would do me just fine…well I can dream! Thank you very much ladies for sharing this fun part of your lives for us curious souls. Cheers from Canada

Loved the pictures! Thanks for sharing that part of yourselves with us. Mine is similar, in the ones with stacks on my desk, boxes and trays of books and paperwork on the floor and elsewhere. I have a large, heavy L shaped desk that if anything falls behind it, it is lost forever. One window with a shady bush outside where deer occasionally seek shelter or stash a fawn while the mother is gone. I see their ears above the ledge turning to listen to the sounds outside and in my den. All the bookshelves ar full, with additional stacks of books all over the room. Lee Iacocca said to prioritize your goals and No. 1 on my list for years has been to get organized-my den shows I haven’t accomplished that yet. Thank you again for sharing.

I love this segment! I am an English Literature teacher and if I can’t be out in the surrounds of the beautiful grounds of my school with my students, then my desk and work and my desk at home are places that inspire me to write. I believe that ones’ desk can define a lot about the person and this was evident in the beautiful visual representation on this site! Thank you. As another person said - it reveals an insight into the wonderful and talented women who so generously contribute to this site! Thank you again!
