Yes, I like the site too. Here is a poem—Not desks, but looking: Lecture in front of a mirror Please look closely at the topography of your face before you enter that—well—final state of grace. Consider the perfect contour of your nose where neither time nor past emotion shows. Then you may be inclined to dwell upon the once-taut skin that hides your tougher shell. Measure what you have and what was lost by taking a path while another was quickly crossed. Above all, be thankful for your waning sight. And one last thing—avoid a raking light. I must have order, not lots of distracting things about, plus a far view—so Mary’s desk is appealing.

Desks: Although I loved looking at all of the desks my fav thing is the statue of St. Jude in Marlo’s pic. How wonderful, and such a perfect thing Danny gave to Marlo. My mom prayed the novena for umpteen years to St. Jude, and I have prayed it as well. I have it laminated. Mom and I went together and had several of our novenas laminated to keep them from wearing out with usage.

Our desks” showed Mary Wells desk…far different from the one I recall at WRG. Then she had a lovely dark antique table with no drawers and her office was like a lovely sitting room. No papers, no clutter, and I always wondered where Mary put everything! I guess in someone else’s office! Helen Chapman King

Appearance, appearance, appearance, when will you ever get it. Not style, substance.

loved it! thanks so much for sharing - even the messiness - made me feel normal. :) I keep saying I’m going to organize and clean my desk - but… So - where does Lily plug in her computer? I could not see any cables anywhere on that beautiful glass desk. BTW - I saw Lily, Friday night in Cincinnati - it was wonderful. Lily - you are amazing. I just ordered 2 more copies of the book and 1 dvd of The Search for Signs of Intelligent Life” I’m going to give the books away - but the dvd is for me. I saw 2 performances 20 years ago and still treasure the memory. Thx.
