These are absolutely fabulous! Thanks so much for sharing them with us! Tough to get a comment in here since the cartoons seem to be on auto pilot and one can’t type fast enough to get a thought down before the cartoon changes and the message goes poof! Thank goodness for cut and paste! HA!

That’s one advantage to the old fashioned system of “dial up” internet. Every event takes three times as long. I had time to enjoy the images. The images are great and the cut lines are right on! Thanks for sharing.

The middle button is either “Pause” or “Play”. If you hit pause, it will stop forwarding to the next cartoon. And the cartoons are really great!

Right on Jane! As an Eco-feminist Major its great to see these wonderful eco-messages so well expressed in Art. Please never stop making more for us to reflect to upon! Art is a fabulous tool for getting the environmental message out and a great tool for social protest. The sad truth is that we live in a very imperiled planet and it is affecting our health and very quality of life right now not in the projected future. If anyone would like to learn a little more about eco-feminism (that is the converging terrain where the oppression for nature mets the oppression of women) : I would suggest reading some of the following titles: The Death Of Nature By Carolyn Merchant, Vandana Shiva’s Ecofeminism and her Monoculture book, and any good Eco-Feminist anthology by Diamond & Orenstein or Judith Plant as editors, essays done by Carol Adams Eco-feminism or her Sexual Politics of Meat, Gorgons, Gossips and Crones by Jane Caputi is another must read. Thank you for sharing these wonderful thought provoking pieces Jane.

S Engel , Jane here. I somehow missed your comment from April. Thanks for your kind words and all the good book suggestions! I am learning so much from people like you who share your ideas with all of us on Wow. I wasn’t sure about how well these eco-toons would be received so your positive input pleases me so much. I hope you stay with our virtual family and continue to excahnge ideas. Jane

Jane, If the angel of writers sits on your shoulder and from time to time flutters down and writes “better” in the margin, it is because your most glorious writing is your stackable tangential humor that is at odds with New Yorker cartoon caption-style writing.

The correct form of the verb is “affecting,” NOT “effecting.” Other than that, brilliant!
