Been married for 25 years. The yer we got married my husband turned 20 in June we got married in Oct. I was 27. We met when he was 16 and too young to consider! Once he turned 18……

I think there are more important issues in the U.S. to address than dating a younger man or women. I wish the news people would address the issues in every city in the U.S. Our Schools, our homeless, our Fire Dept’s our Police, Sheriff dept’s, OES and so on. The waste of money in our Government. The need for more in other areas. Our water, our oil, our waste. The education of people who live day to day and get food at our local shelters. How can we really help each other. A free car does not help. Some people can’t afford the gas. Has anyone been in Santa Barbara lately, the homeless are everywhere. Don’t we have any agencies that can help them get on their feet?

Yes, there are more important things or issues to tackle but we should not be so serious or so intense all the time lest we develop ulcers, become depressed and stressed out. Once in a while we should smile and laugh. To cougars, may your tribe increase.

If older women with younger men are called cougars, what are all these old geezers with barely post pubescent wives called? Oh that’s right, isn’t it usually something like “my itto-pookey-wookey-sweetie-weetie-wuvie-dovie”?

I don’t see what the fuss is. Of the last four guys I dated, one was nine years older, one was six years younger, the other two were tadpoles…ten years younger. If nobody looks twice at an older guy with a younger woman, than older women should be able to date arm candy, too.

i don’t think it is always about arm candy…i have been married twice to men my own age - both times disastrously…and i have now been in the first healthy relationship in my life with a man who is 12 years younger than i..for 10 years…longer and much more happily than the previous two relationships… not so much about ‘age’ but the time in which one was raised….in my case it is about the PERSON he is, compatibility and attitude…..i agree it seems stupid to ‘point out’ a man is younger than a woman when no one blinks an eye over an older man with a young woman…seems kinda sexist in a way… like women should stick to some kind of rules that don’t count for men… honestly, i now find many men my own age rather disturbing… with out-dated attitudes…and claiming to be enlightened because their women work ( we like that ‘extra’ income..don’t we?? ) when many of them can’t even find the ‘on’ button on the washer or the eggs in a grocery store without a map… i am sure there are alot of good men in their 50’s….but my own experience has been that there is a definite generational divide in attitudes toward women in general….
