I agree, and am voting for Obama. Palin of course inspite of her beliefs, has every right to campaign and her spunk is admirable.
But she is being treated with respect by Biden & Obama who attacked Hillary relentlessly and was rude and condescending to Hillary as was Obama.
The press has dissed Palin when she gaffed, but she has actually received more respect than Hillary did and hopefully this will send a message that no matter what a woman’s political beliefs on issues, it is totally unsupportable to insult women and encourage toxic sexism.
Hopefully some lessons will emerge from this entire experience.
I enjoy fashion news. I’m not a supporter of Gov. Palin, but it hardly surprises me she’d get a makeover. Obviously someone or a few concerned on the McCain team felt she needed to look more polished, so they polished her. It seems to go with the territory when you’re trying to sell someone and coach them instead of allowing her to be herself. Palin’s new look is a improvement. But it’s still not about the book jacket.. it’s about the contents of the book.
Regardless the outcome in November, I hope she keeps this new look.
Whats wonderful is when a woman doesn’t need to be altered from her natural state, when her style in already innately there. Think Tipper, Jill Biden, Betty Ford, Pat Nixon, Jackie Kennedy and obviously Michelle.
Photo comparisons on this link below, of Palin’s original taste in clothes, pre-nomination:

If we women are not liberal dems, we are torn apart by those who “call” themselves champions of equality. I care about her 80% approval rating in Alaska, not her outfits.
We all know sexism backfires unless the target is Hillary Clinton who had every kind of toxic garbage thrown at her by men and women alike and the Media was worse than all. It was considered normal & ok. Now it’s not ok.
And of course, it’s not ok.
Now, why do I reject Palin? Certainly not for her clothes or hairdo which are entirely irrelevant. Her ideas and convictions are totally contrary to mine and undermine everything I have worked for all my life. She is totally and completely incable of performing as president let alone VP of the US in this time of complex crisis. How corny she is or isn’t and how chic she is or isn’t has nothing to do with with her beliefs and limitations.
It’s interesting that Palin is being treated with respect from Biden and Obama who were rude, hostile, and condescending to Hillary unrelentingly.
They need Hillary now.
There’s only one week left until the voting date, and controversies surrounding both the Democrat and Republican camps continue to surface. News sources are eager to report that the Republican National Committee spent upwards of $150,000 on Vice Presidential Candidate Sarah Palin’s campaign trail wardrobe. Although this story has created a flood of negative publicity, anti-Republican attacks, and the like, I am not falling for it. In fact, both Palin and Democratic Presidential hopeful Barack Obama have spent large sums of money on clothing, and it doesn’t affect my voting decision. After all, we live in a material society where appearance and possessions, more than anything else, are the main things by which we judge people. If you had one candidate blazing the campaign trail in well-selected designer apparel, and the other candidate fully clad in Wal-Mart clothes, the latter would be taken less seriously. Plus, look at all the attention Sarah Palin has received from her pricey wardrobe. Maybe it’s not such a bad political move. Ultimately, I hope that Americans will look past the clothes and form their opinions based on the issues. We need to vote for the candidate that supports our freedom for personal financial responsibility and the continued access to no fax payday loans.

Speaking of fashion, who can’t forget that tacky red-and-black dress of Michelle Obama? The woman has poor fashion sense. With that black skin of hers, she looked like Whoopi Goldberg. Really ugly, a slob. Sarah Palin, in pink dress or power suit, anytime.
