I think you have an unique personality who has the kind of charisma that attracts all these famous people to you. No wonder you have so many friends, famous and otherwise. And your clothes! I know it’s a shallow point, but I love your clothes! The orange jacket and the yellow outfit were absolutely beautiful! Was Ann Richards one of your best friends? I surely do miss hearing all the things she used to say. What a beautiful, smart woman she was.

In the photo of The Funny Women Panel at the University of Texas before Ann Richards became governor, the "unknown woman" on the front row (left) is Shannon Sedwick of Esther’s Follies (an Austin comedic troupe).  The best to you, Liz Smith - can’t believe The New York Post fired you.  Our gain!

I was looking at your pictures and then I saw the late great Governor Ann Richards. I suddenly missed her and I was thinking you most definitely miss her more than I. I began to smile and thought, she is not gone. The Governors work, comments and great sense of humor is still with us.
