Sorry, the polar bears will not be bailed out. Which brings me to the topic of women and animals. Women must be at the forefront of a movement that recognized animals as sentient beings. There are still too many women wearing fur and ignoring the suffering that is behind the fur industry. Women are still taking their children to the circus to see wild animals perform. Please, my sisters, understand that we can never be considered civilized as long as we tolerate any suffering, including that which is endured by animals for our stupid pleasures.

Wow - I never thought it but I guess whale actually do have a “carbon footprint” - all animals breathe in oxygen and exhale carbon dioxide. But they eat the small animals and keep them in balance and those animals (or the animals they eat) eat plants. Mmmm. Plant exchange carbon dioxide for oxygen so they have a negative carbon footprint, so if we get rid of ALL the animals, we will eventually solve the problems.
I vote for another solution, please. I want the human race to continue, thank you, and our other animal friends in the biosphere.
I love getting everyone’s feedback. It’s so great to have this exchange and I read every comment. I especially appreciate you regulars…so does Edith Ann! She’s still working on her hand made Mother’s day present so she asked my to write for her. Speaking of you regulars…Mugs, Susanne, and “the one in the curlers” and oh, so many others…ThanksJ so much for your brilliance and your wonderful stories. Your imput is so valuable to us all. Jane

Best long term solution: Limit your reproduction.
