The Obama Daughters' Most Adorable Fashions (Photos)

Sasha and Malia Obama have captured our hearts with their innocently beautiful style

Photo Essay

Their mother’s one of the most stylish women in the nation, but this photo essay proves that Sasha and Malia — 10 and 7, respectively — are equally resplendent in their heart-melting and adorable dresses and ensembles.

Anywhere you find them, the First Daughters are well on their way to becoming the youngest fashion icons the country’s ever seen.

What I see in these two girls is that, they are like their parents, the beauty inside equally matches the beauty we see outside. These are two very grounded little girls, it will be fun watching them grow.

Aw! Why’d you go and spoil this nice harmonious commentary on the Obama girls? They’re cute, and one might add beautiful in their innocence. But when you say “they are like their parents, beauty inside, etc., matches outside… ” You provoke response. I won’t muddy up what started out as a wholesome view of the Obama girls. No, I won’t. That is, not until making the point, millions of Americans see Obama, the dangerous product of Affirmative Action, as a Machiavellian leftist with absolutely no background qualifying him for the Presidency, who’s convinced nearly half the population he’s on his way to destroying this country— and Michelle, another product of Affirmative Action in its lowest denominator, who showed her appreciation for the bounty this country afforded her and her parents— with her spit in the eye whine, “America is a mean country.” That’s the only “written in granite” words forever associated with Obama.. Yes, the girls do appear “grounded” whatever that means Obama style. But it won’t be “fun” watching them grow up. One will be fighting back the unfair image conjured in the mind, their rite of passage as the flinging open of Pandora’s box— innocence lost. …No, let’s not muddy up the images of these cute little girls, beautiful in their innocence.

The best thing about them is that they appear to be very happy, healthy LITTLE GIRLS. Bravo to Michelle and President Obama - and their grandmother - for not letting them grow up too fast, in the midst of all this.

grow up too fast” those are the key words, Lorraine. Too many of our children, especially girls, are growing up too fast, Those girls are a breath of fresh air.

What fun it is to be able to watch them grow into fine young ladies while they are living in the White House. I imagine they had a very good time last night; they had their friends over to watch movies in their “new” home theater. Their mother said at one of the balls that they would not have to go to school today, but they were going to meet people at the open house today.

What a credit to President Obama and Michelle these two girls are, they are beautiful and seem very respectful and that is a sign of good parenting on their part. They looked so pretty and really happy and it will be fun watching them grow up into young ladies over time…..such a lovely family.

… of course, they ARE at that perfect age for girls … ;-)

Right you are ……and they will go through the “awkward” age ( 13-15) before our eyes too, which is hard for any adolescent girls. Remember Amy Carter and Chelsea Clinton ? Malia will get soooo tall and gangly, I predict she will tower over both her parents , but so far she stands tall with her head held high, I think she will handle it. And Natasha ( Sasha) will become the darling of the media because she seems irrepressible, reminding me of John John Kennedy with the cool, calm Caroline as the older sister. Gonna be fun to watch !!

That’s a great observation! I can’t believe I missed the parallel between the two families. I’m old enough to remember the Kennedy years and the children’s impact on the image around the White House. Caroline had a pony named Macaroni, who grazed on the front lawn. And John John crawling underneath his father’s desk in the Oval Office — what a photo. I’m sure there will be more like these from the Obama girls.

and …. Barack is using the desk that Kennedy used with the panel underneath, although I think Sasha is too big to climb under !

FYI: You are aware that the Kennedy’s NEVER called John, John-John. It was the press that coined that name for him! But I guess it really stuck.
