Being 40 is nothing ! Skin and muscles are still pretty firm, you have no reason NOT to look good at 40. A little makeup, hair dye and exercise will do the trick.
But, damn, the 60s are killers, No matter what you do you can’t stop the hangin’ & slidin’ short of surgery which makes you look like a different person, but still old ☹

I’m on the same slide with ya! And someone greased it!
EKA, I know what you mean. At 45 I noticed a little weight gain around the middle, quickly got a trainer and started my first real exercise program. I had always walked a lot and used some weights but never a real regime. I have to say, at 45, I never looked better than then.
Now at 60, I’m looking at some major overhauling. And that is just to slow the slide. I will, as I get nearer to 70, age gracefully. Although, Liz Smith really looks good at 86!
I’m with EKA — I wish I were 40 again, the 40’s were the best years of my life.
I absolutely loved being 40…..I had great years. I hope the same for all of these beautiful women And look out, the 50’s are even better! And I’m working on the 60’s and am very contented. So I wish for them a long long great aging process and much happiness.
There is nothing wrong with being age 40.
There is nothing wrong with being age 50 and few years beyond…but that’s all because I am going to quit having birthdays. One just have to get used to looking at the mirror and seeing a much different face than it was at age 40….changes begin to be apparent with each passing year.
40 is new 30 and fabulous. My neice is turning 40 and she does not look a day older than 25. This one for you, Lona. Happy 40th.
