This little demo puts that old saying “Who you gonna believe, me or your lyin’ eyes?” in a new perspective. I do not support the policies Ms. Palin embraces, but I am vehemently opposed to any and all misrepresentations of the truth. Thanks to Wow for this illustration of how technology can be so easily used and abused to manipulate reality.

Hey, countrywoman. Haven’t seen your graceful avatar for a while, so decided to seek you out. Hope you don’t mind. How are you? Can real life be more interesting than what’s going on here at wow? I’m being facetious, of course, but still curious about what you might be up to. Are all the animals okay? Does the change of season affect them? I stumbled upon our favorite poster today; she wrote something so disgusting, I mean reeeeally disgusting, that I don’t want you to go there. Life is too short. Hey back rocky…..I did post a response to you on the visuals thread. I loved your cyber-gathering scene, hope you found the reply? The tone and substance of the commentary here has kept my fingers off the keys in recent days. UGH! Besides that, it is harvest time here on the farm so that keeps me out of mischief too. (I grow some awesome fruit and veggies, she said modestly.) All critters (including my little old guy who just turned 15) are perking right along. You got me all curious about a disgusting word pile, I will probably poke around, find it, and wish I had taken your advice?

Okay. I give. You forced it outta me! if we are talking about the same poisonous person, then go to her home page. At this minute, it’s the third one down from the top — if you dare. … It’s nearly dawn here and I don’t know what I’m doing up and typing … I believe completely that you have a green thumb and envy that you have land on which to plow and plant and prune and after all that pick the fruit of your labors … the land I own is in little and large pots here and there in my tiny condo, where the sun shines down on them from the skylight and the wall of windows … cactus, ferns, palm, geraniums, peace lily, and all kinds of viney plants with shiny green heart-shaped leaves … Good night, countrywoman. I actually saw this photo printed up and placed on people’s desks at my office yesterday. I didn’t know it was a fake—but I only glanced at it. I couldn’t imagine why people would have this, so, now I know. I don’t like the idea of doing this to any woman; it is demeaning and petty.

But that doesn’t change my mind about Palin. I don’t like her dirty politics and her speech left me speechless from yelling my objections.

I dislike Palin’s views on all matters, but issleaze. Her ideas and public performance are discussable and debatable, but falsifying photos and information about her is the lowest.
I am against her policies but I am also against slander and character assassination. It’s the issues, but this kind of garbage weakens accurate arguments and it helps no one.
