So…it’s back to heavy double-ugly, coyote-ugly shoes. Where’s Christian Louboutin, Jimmy Choo, and Prada, pray tell? Shoes can be beautiful and sexy and comfortable also.

Truly cannot understand why we can put the proverbial “men on the moon”, we can’t have sexy shoes that do not kill out feet. Or why we keep wanting something that is not good for us. With having had two foot surgeries in the last two years to correct what was probably caused by footwear, I guess I am entering the function verses form of my life.

Did you catch the red and gold ones with the teacup handle? A couple of them looked like 1949 Buicks. Sorry, my back will not accept me putting on any of those torture devises. Unfortunately, my feet are not small, therefore any of the above would only serve to make them look like Rose Parade floats.

Great analogy to the auto industry! Funny

I don’t like shoes that look like sculpture. Can you imagine strapping sculpture to your feet? For casual summer I have found a company called FitFlops. They are like flipflops but with about a mile of padding under the entire foot. They also give your legs a workout. Check out the website—they have them for men, too.

This avatar was a joke for the facelift topic. I will get the frog back. I like Wonder Woman, but her shoes are killing me.

truly an ugly shoe. It ruins the line of the leg.

Sorry, I thought I was looking at just the one pair. I really don’t like them very much other than the purple and the red and gold. I also remember how these shoes feel. I used to live in Rome in the days of the platform shoes and had an incredible pair that was about 10 or 12 inches high. My heel was lifted about 3 inches, but they were just for show. I couldn’t go too far in them. I loved them and they made my legs look great, but I could do next to nothing in them. I stuck out in a crowd, a little like one of those mediterranean firs, but that was about it. I have graduated to comfortable shoes and I love them. I do not live in pain. It’s great. I really don’t like the look of these shoes, perhaps because I do remember the pain.

So, no way I could walk in these, but they are still gorgeous. Love the shoes, they do look like art. Its always fun to see pretty pix like these! Thanks

Are you really going to be a fool and wear those shoes? Not only will you ruin your feet but you will also break your back. I have been in BEAUTIFUL flat shoes most of my life, and am lucky to still be walking.A pair of Christian Louboutin’s persimmon knee highs my latest purchase. They fit beautifully. It IS possible to be very stylish and not go beyond an inch. The toe will not point nor will it be round. Chanel just came out w/ a flat .You may FALL at some time in your life, but you will need medical care w/ those things, and I think you will be thought of as some kind of fool …so there!

I’ve had many an operation,on these feet, for a desire to be ever narrower. Once even had an MD suggest we cut off the little toe! No, I didn’t do it. But now I have hammertoes which I tend myself because they want to cut those off. Don’t do it. Do anything you can to keep everything in working order or you will regret it. Feet are as important as hands.

All the shoes shown are UGLY. I rarely wear high heels anymore, preferring flats or 2 inch heels and comfort, but beautiful shoes that are comfortable and attractive can be found. I have slides and fit-flops for wearing at home which I change into as soon as I get inside the door.

You need some new copy writers. I’ve never seen so much redundancy or so many repeated words in such a short feature. The shoes are cool though.

Following giving a recent lecture on health care a lady came up to me to give me feed back. She had difficulty choosing which of 4 parallel sessions to attend but on seeing my very high red suede platforms with Mini Mouse Bows she made here decision & I quote “I decided there & then if a woman would wear such shoes to a health care comference she had to be worth listening to.” Thankfully she reported that she had not been in the least disappointed!!
