It is a real insult to these inspiring women, to be in the same company as Sarah Palin. How in the world did that happen? Every time the woman opens her mouth, she inserts her foot….or worse!

I wondered about Angelina Jolie being included. Changing the world? Well, as I was driving to ” my mountain” this beautiful week-end in Tennessee I started thinking about her for some reason which escapes me. She is really “every woman”. She did what the female species does. She found the best male specimen she could to reproduce and also adopts children and gives them a life that far exceeds anything most of us could imagine. She flys a plane, gives generously of her time and money to refugees and brings their message to the world. She is articulate, told Anderson Cooper that she mades a ridiculous sum of money for what she does and lightly dismisses what she gives to help the less fortunate. She educated herself about the refugee plight and made it an issue she cares deeply about. And still reproduces beautiful children with the ease that our distant ancestors must have accomplished. I think I will vote for her as one woman who represents the best in what a woman is…I’m sure she has faults as do we all. But how many of us can say we contribute, with so much vigor and grace, as she has in so few years. I think watching her and her husband, who is also doing admirable work in New Orleans and other places of need, will be fascinating and since they are so young they have many years to contribute to the advancement of what it means to be a caring citizen of the world.
