As for name calling you should go back and read just a few of your posts…..print them if you have a printer and put them side by side and count the number of “names” you call people……You come to a site you call liberal….is it because of all of the anger you have? You need to vent? So frustrated with your life? You obviously find me so fascinating that you have to keep telling me to go back on my meds, why don’t you drink your Wine and eat your NUTS. Your expensive education did not help you change your writing style at all as another blogger….you change your alias constantly and keep the discord going. If you had read my initial comments you would know that I was thinking about the poll as I drove to my houe on the mountain. I also have a home in the city. I don’t know about trailer parks but you certainly talk about them a lot. When you change your alias I know to quit reading when I see trailer park in the post. I know who it is. Also, do you not know that you leave your “fingerprints” all over the internet when you blog. It is not as though you are actually invisible. Really, you need to ” get a grip”. Or an education about computers. If the founders would go back and look at the quantity and quality of people they have lost because of you and a handful of ones like you on this site they would kick you off. B Nyce, the people this site has lost are obviously able to appreciate the type of advertisers on this blog site. Ask them why they quit coming here. You might be surprised.

I should get an education about computers??? DUH, I don’t need to print out all my posts, I just have to go to” manage my posts” and they are all there. As I said B4, I’ve only used one other moniker B4 this one, so perhaps you have me confused with another poster, I don’t know and really don’t care what you think. Look, living in Tenn. means you must live in a trailer park. Like I’ve said B4, anyone who doesn’t agree with you gets attacked.

IDIOT, BITCH AND DUMMY: Gee is that the best you can come up with?? Those seem to be your favorite names. I on the other hand have basically told you to shut your PIE HOLE and I get lambasted. (you’ll find that in webster’s) from your Marxist friends on here.

made their children legitimate”… not only is that a very nasty comment, but what are you living in, the 1940s??

You call that a nasty comment? I call it the truth. And if you want to read nasty, try reading Dab’s comment to me. Which I’m sure you did already. I guess saying “go to hell, bitch” is okay in your book, cause she’s a liberal just like you. Don’t comment on my posts, until you can be “fair and balanced”. Just shut your pie hole.

You seem to have a bit of an anger management problem Irish Eyes NY. Shut your pie hole?? Calling people’s children “illegitimate”. Lighten up.

After you mentioned it, I went back and read Dab-a-do’s post. Yes, she used uncalled for language. BUT… I read her original post, and it was a nice, pleasant, well thought out post stating her reason for agreeing that Angelina Jolie should be on the list… which IS after all, what this thread is about! And you respond with a snide, dismissive remark “And wouldn’t it be nice if they got married and made their children legitimate. Don’t bother to tell me why they aren’t getting married, I’ve heard the crappy reason why.”… a remark that was unprovoked and unnecessary. So, she reacted strongly… but what do you expect? Anyone would have. Your response to her post was really uncalled for.

No, anyone would not have reacted the way she did. SHE has the anger management problem, SHE is a WACK JOB. Plain and simple. You say my response to her post was uncalled for??? Its because of these Hollywood types, that live in sin and set a bad example for the teens in this country. You are the same people who will rip Jamie Spears for getting pregnant a second time, but praise people like angelina for doing the same thing basically. DOUBLE STANDARD ONCE AGAIN.

I think your original post (in response to her nice one) was offensive and uncalled for. I think her calling you a bitch was also offensive and uncalled for, but I can understand her anger and frustration not only at your comments, but the fact that you completely took a nice pleasant post that sounded like her heartfelt view on the subject at hand, and dismissed it in a negative, offensive way. And saying things to me like, “shut your pie hole” says way more about you than me. And as far as calling people’s children illegitimate and saying the parents “live in sin”, IMO people who go around talking about the “sins” of others are a pain in the ass and turn most reasonable people off religion altogether.

There is no one on this list who would be on MY list.

You’ve got my curiosity, who WOULD be on your list ?

With the exception of Sarah Palin, who I think will eventually be a failed talk show host, this is a very impressive list. I will choose Ayan Hirsi Ali, only because I have recently read her autobiography “Infidel”, an amazing story of bravery and survival. However, I do not think it is possible to come up with “a winner”. That is objectivizing, if here is such a word, the very different lives of these women, it is trying to say an apple is better than an orange. It is like giving an Academy Award to a “life”.. can’t be done. Let’s leave the list as it is and celebrate these women and hope they will inspire an even longer list.

How about Mother Teresa, J.K. Rowling, Mary Ann Hopkins, Maria Montessori, Elizabeth Blackwell, Maria Mitchell, Marie Curie, Madame C.J. Walker, Marian Anderson, Eleanor Roosevelt, Rosa Parks, Condi Rice, Julie Gerberding, Queen Rania, Aung San Suu Kyi, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Sandra Day O’Connor, Louise Frechette, Susan Desmond-Hellmann, Susan Berresford, Jane Addams, Helen Keller, Louisa M. Alcott… yes, I know some of these woman are no longer living, but I wanted to give a general idea of the kind of woman I find inspiring and universe-shaking. In the words of Erma Bombeck, “Don’t confuse fame with success. Madonna is one; Helen Keller is the other.”

Excellent names, I agree with most. I also think the women on the wOw list fit right in …. well, not Sarah Palin. Not that she may not do something exceptional SOME DAY ……. but not yet.
