Hello Frannie Em, I’ve been here! Just reading more and writing less. More often there is such lively discussion here at wOw, I have little to add. After all, reading well written comments like yours (among others), there is not much for me to add when others express points of view similar to what I believe. I guess I’m feeling a bit more ‘vocal’ at this hour. Thanks for you kind comment.

Maizie I know what you mean. I just read your fridge comment, and I realized I didn’t eat dinner. There are so many funny people on the threads as well. Some days I just feel a little burned, or don’t have much time, or don’t have anything to say. I am coming up on a real busy time so I will have to back off. It has been so hot, and since my youngest is now 15, there are less things we do together in summer. So I am in transition.

Frannie, in the last month it’s mostly been freezing in SF…foggy, windy, cold. Our summer is September….alhough today was sunny, still quite chilly.

Dona, Hope you’re enjoying the warm weather!! So if you’re south you can easily go to Stanford Mall? Isn’t that the most beautiful place…all the birds, flowers, water features.

Suzanne, Actually I’m in San Jose……….I’ve been enjoying my swimming pool on these hot days and the nice hot spa at night….. Yes, Stanford Mall is beautiful. Palo Alto is a beautiful City……….I love the Stanford Campus. My sister lives in Palo Alto. I spend most of my fall and Winter there going to the Stanford Mens Basketball games……..I have season tickets…….love Basketball.

Dona, I love PA too. Used to live on Stanford campus, what a blast! Love Memorial Church, and the old Stanford Theatre and all of downtown, great Whole Foods, and the Margarite (sp) on campus makes it easy to get around. And you’re right, so nice in Fall and Winter. got to meet Mike Montgomery. Great guy. And Stanford Women’s basketball isn’t shabby eiher. You know how to live! Miss my pool/spa. Off I go…have fun floating in that pool!!

Winery Frenchy It is like 85 degrees at 9:30 pm here. I wouldn’t mind a little chill. My youngest is back to school tomorrow and it is hot and muggy. SF is always a wonderful dream to me. I love it. My nephew moved up there and works at Whole Foods, not in school now. My niece is there at SF State in her second year of Industrial Design. They dig it.

Frannie, SF is a great place for young people. SF State has many terrific programs. Bet they can tell you about the fog now! Today was sunny, then you look towards the SW and see the fog rolling in…soon it’s a blanket and the fog horns are going. Went to see “Momma Mia” tonight and when got out at 9PM……felt like a mountaintop in winter. I hope your niece and nephew know that SF drivers notoriously run red lights, and tourists never stop for the cable cars (ie as people are stepping off into speeding traffic) so I hope they are extra watchful here. The new Whole Foods near Cal Train is amazing. Hope he gets a discount!

If you are what you eat, then my fridge says I’m doing pretty well.

I’ll have to crash the scene, man. It sounds like you keep some good suds in the ol’ ice box.

OK, ladies… I scrolled or “clicked” back many times to complete my full vision of Judith Martin’s Ice Box… the photos are timed impeccably, so that you will know the many times we all clicked to hold that piece. I think Ms. Joni is so funny or…in need of serious help. Then I clicked back many times to realize that Liz is asking for photos of our Fridge. Hmmmm…. Okeedokee…. get to the pictures in front of the fridge. You just wait Mz. Liz…I think there could be some very entertaining refrigerators amongst us. I’m giggling at the thought of you all seeing my magnet infested fridge. I’ve seen belt buckles sucked into to the freezer…LOL! Can we say “Magnet”?
