It’s always the hair! Cut, color and style is everything. Yet if we were to compare the ‘99 to ‘89, the results would be the same. Rice looks stunning!!!

Definitely the hair - the styles and shades are more lively. The ‘99 photos look so drab in comparsion.

Hair color is a wonder in how it makes woman look younger. Cher’s highlights and Oprah’s lighter shade are examples of how to do it without going platinum.

It’s amazing what a little plastic surgery and/or Botox can do.

I am most bowled over by Condolezza Rice, she went from maiden looking to a real beauty. Wow, that haircut is beautiful on her! Hair and makeup, it truly does make all the difference in the world, and in the case with many of these photos, less is best.

Some of them looked the same to me, which I guess says they look 10 years younger. I like Kidman in the before pic, now she looks too reformed.

I didn’t realize that Kidman was so anorexic all those years ago. I noticed a few months ago that Andrea Mitchell has had extensive work done on her skin. The acne scars are much improved. And, when did Condi Rice cut her hair? I didn’t recognize her. She should have done it a long time ago. It is so much more up to date.

Condi Rice was on ‘The View’ this past week…………she still had her old fashioned hair do……….maybe the cute pixie was a wig.

I actually think Condi Rice did something with her teeth. She once had a bit of a gap between her two front teeth, that is now closed. [For an earlier view, see http://vivirlatino.com/i/2007/06/condoleezza_rice.jpg ]

With Kidman I think the expression on her face, so much more relaxed, made a big difference. But hair does do so much. When I look at pictures of my grandmother and really look at her face she was very young looking but the hair styles made her seem much older to me.

I hate to be cynical about such beauty, but we know that they all have the money to “refine” their looks and probably have done so. Jolie and seems the least changed and her eyes just shine with happiness. Don’t get me wrong, I’d do whatever they’ve done, too, if I were constantly in the public eye.

Some of them (Andrea Mitchell and Cher) look as though they’ve had so much cosmetic surgery that their faces will soon crack. Oprah’s and C. Rice’s changed hairstyles work beautifully for them.

This had to be the most deceiving section I’ve read. Seriously - these women look younger for one reason only and that’s PLASTIC SURGERY. If we had the money and the spare time (personal chefs, nutritionists, personal trainers, etc.), we’d look younger, too. Add to that the deep pockets to remake our visage, why would anyone wonder how we look so much younger.

Absolutely Elizabeth — as well, since they have large amounts of money, they don’t have the financial worries that we do; things that put those lines and haggard looks on some of our faces (i.e. college, health care, food, clothing, house maintenance, car maintenance……….on and on and on). A good haircut in New York would be $500 or more — enough to feed your family for a few weeks.
