Mary Wells’s Creative Thinking Strategy

I don’t think I will think about something. Thoughts happen to me anyplace, anytime. I would forget all about them so I learned in the ad biz to keep little pads in my pockets, and when a good thought happened, to write it down. After all, a good thought could get me new business. My life is a mess of notepaper. I review batches of those notes from time to time and the ones from long ago are as useful as the ones from yesterday so I think I have a guardian angel who has been dropping those useful thoughts into my head all my life.
