11 of the FBI's Most Wanted Women

The FBI wants these 11 women in custody — and for good reason.
By The Staff at wowOwow.com

We here at wOw love good girls, but are well aware that not all women always act like ladies.

With all the hype over the FBI’s newest most-wanted terrorist, an American man named Daniel Andreas, we thought we’d take a look to see which women the Bureau most wants.

Here are 11 of our, well, favorite isn’t the right word, but 11 of our picks.

2009_0429_FBI_Assata_Shakur_1.jpgJoanne Deborah Chesimard: You probably know about Chesimard, but most likely by her better-known name: Assata Shakur. As a member of the Black Liberation Army, Chesimard and her cohorts shot two police officers, one of whom died.

She was convicted in 1977 and sent to prison for life, but escaped two years later. Authorities say she’s now living in Cuba and are offering a $1 million reward to information leading to her capture.

2009_0429_FBI_Rebecca_Rubin.jpgRebecca J. Rubin: Another woman on the domestic-terrorism list, Rebecca J. Rubin, isn’t as well known as Shakur, but she’s likely just as radical.

In 2006, a grand jury indicted Rubin on “two conspiracy violations related to 17 incidents and two counts of arson,” according to the FBI, including Rubin’s possible role in the destruction of an energy tower. The attacks were perpetrated either by members of the Earth Liberation Front or the Animal Liberation Front.

Rubin, who also goes by the name “Little Missy,” reportedly fled to Canada. The FBI hopes a $50,000 reward will help bring her to justice.

2009_0429_FBI_Leota_Head.jpg Hazel Leota Head: Head’s one bad girl. Police claim that she set her boyfriend’s trailer on fire in 1991 and then, in 1998, shot a man in the back of the head as he sat in his trailer.

A fan of hanging out at truck stops, drinking vodka and gambling, Head’s definitely not a wOw woman. Authorities have offered $5,000 for information leading to her arrest. She has a scar above her right eye and a gap in her teeth and sometimes goes by the name Willow Sperbeck.

She has a host of other names, as well, which can be seen on her FBI page.

I have heard of Joanne Deborah Chesimard’s case on AMW with John Walsh. And on the news in the past with they bring up the Anniversary of the Black Liberation Army. The others I haven’t heard much of.

I am appalled that Assata Shakur was placed in the same catagory as this group of crimminals!

Assata Shakur is innocent! She is a political prisoner!

I wish her continued good health, freedom, joy, peace, and love!  Long live Assata Shakur! God speed!

Factchecker, factchecker, check us a fact, please.  I think you mean PlaNo Texas, not Plato TX in the hometown for one of the FBI most wanted women.  The story reads, "Ms. Nguyen of Plato, TX, was convicted in 2005…." and there is no town of Plato Texas.  —Julia Ripley (proofreader and tech writer, retired)

L.C.  How can Assata Shakur be a political prisoner if she is not imprisoned?  The article is about people who are on the run and wanted by the FBI.

She fled because This Government was trying to imprison her for her political beliefs! She is not on the run! Some country granted her asylum as a political prisoner!

Long live Assata Shakur a brave freedom fighter! … Power To The People!

Oh, I see…it had nothing to do with those "political beliefs" involving killing innocent people AND being acted upon. "Freedom fighter" indeed…more like murderous criminal oaf.

L.C. get down off that platform before you fall and somebody gets hurt…
