Michelle Obama may be the next American sweetheart.
A staggering 61 percent of Americans have a favorable opinion of the First Lady. Forty-one percent of those people view her "very favorably," according to a poll conducted by Rasmussen Reports. Of course, not everyone is backing Mrs. Obama: 30 percent have an unfavorable opinion of the First Lady.
Not surprisingly, more women than men give the First Lady high marks, but overall, the nation seems to approve of how she’s handled herself: She’s gained five percent points since her husband won last November’s election.

What is your reason for that exactly???
Libra Lady, I read data to support your statement. Do you know if they filled that position after she left or was that position especially created for her?
caj….. earlier today I posted a nice message to Mr. Steve which pointed out exactly why he would say such a thing but I see it has since vanished…..imagine that! Suffice it to say that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and different people have different priorities?
Our First Lady is a lovely gracious intelligent person, it is not difficult to imagine that some might feel threatened by her accomplishments. I feel so proud that she represents all Americans with such grace and compassion. I am especially grateful for her work with the families of our military. I am looking forward to her future contributions….she is one AWESOME FIRST-CLASS LADY!
Diamond in the Rough, there is no doubt in my mind that Michelle Obama will prove to be a good First Lady. Like most women, she loves her husband and her family. Both she and her husband have their "vision" on where they want to take the United States of America. That vision, like other presidents and first ladies before them is based solely on how they were raised and the company they kept over the course of their lives. They sat in Rev. Wright’s church, they associated with left radicals and they both took advantage of opportunities handed to them. Those centers of influence helped to shape their professional and private lives. Like others before them, they will bring those life experiences with them into the White House.
That being said, I look forward to her accomplishments as First Lady. There’s no reason why she shouldn’t do an admirable job for military families and anything else she feels passionate about.
