AirFrance Tragedy Continues: Woman Who Missed Flight Killed in Car Crash

Johanna Ganthaler and her husband fortunately missed Flight 447, but today, Mrs. Ganthaler was killed and her husband is in the hospital.
By The Staff at wowOwow.com

A tragic twist of fate led to another death today.

Johanna Ganthaler and her husband Kurt were on holiday in Brazil and were supposed to be on the doomed AirFrance Flight 447 from Brazil to France last week, which fell out of the sky into the Atlantic Ocean. Fortunately for them, they missed the flight. But Sky News reports that the Ganthalers were in a car accident today — and Mrs. Ganthaler was killed.

Some may say fate works in mysterious ways. Our thoughts and prayers are with her, her family and all of those touched by this terrible tragedy.

Just tragic. To think they escape one tragedy to befall another.

How incredibly sad, it goes to show you — YOU just never know what tomorrow will bring.  Hug your kids and make sure the people you love know it.

Does the word "Kismet" ring a bell? How tragic is this? Makes a person believe in predestination.

Wonder what this means about the meaning of life? Some of us can’t escape our destiny? But the husband survived, albeit, with severe injuries. Hard to know if it means anything. Yet it makes us wonder.

So very, very sad, so heartbreaking. It is almost like something from the Twilight Zone.

The meaning of FATE??????If the husband survives then this tells us it was only her time to go. If they had both been on that plane, they would both be gone…….makes you wonder….hummmm!!!!!

This really boggles the mind.  It does make one wonder about karma.  What a nightmare for the family, though.  To be so relieved that they did not make the flight, only to have this happen.

Does anyone remember the old folk tale about fate? A man yearns to know the date of his death, and finally his wish is granted. But as the date drew near, the man began to dread his fate, and decided to outwit death. He changed his name. He sold his business. He disguised himself. He journeyed for many weeks, and at last came to the gates of the city of Samarra. As he approached - on the appointed day of his fate - he felt secure. He knew he had outwitted fate. But as he passed beneath the gate, an old man stepped out of the shadows and touched his arm.

"I believe, my good sir, that we have an appointment."

Each time I read of a tragedy like that which befell the Ganthalers, I think about that old folk tale, and it sends a chill down my spine. Yes, it DOES make one think that someone keeps an account book somewhere.

My dears, coincidence does not seem so coincidental sometimes, does it?
