What would Murphy Brown have said about this situation?

One could take that any number of ways I suppose.  One must wonder how Madame Speaker will take it. And if she takes it the way you meant it.

I’ve been so pleased with the outreach her office has done to young people.  So rare to see policy makers care about my generation beyond the soundbyte.  I will say that every time I’ve been around her she is by far the most fashionable member of Congress, and while I wouldn’t be comfortable putting on someone elses shoes, they were indeed some awesome shoes.  They’d have to be comfortable too because there’s so much walking.  When it comes to stepping into her shoes metephorically I wouldn’t dare have the guts.

Baby Snooks and Sarah Burris get your heads out of the clouds. Pelosi can’t dress her self out of a paper bag let alone run a government. Her outfits are out of date and so is the hair.

I suspect you mistakenly assumed I was complimenting Madame Speaker.  I was not.  And not with regard to her fashion statements which I don’t think have a bearing on the subject.

Beth , I agree with you about Pelosi.I would not step into her shoes or enter her closet , nor would I malke an appointment with her hairdresser. Amen.

Hmmm.  The way the Speaker is acting these days my guess is she will move him from his #1 rent-controlled apartment to his #2 rent-controlled apartment to his #3 to rent-controlled apartment to his #4 rent-controlled apartment so no one can find him to ask him to step down.

It is also possible Madam Speaker will pass a bill in the House making the Dominican Republic the 51st state.

Seriously?  I think she will ask him to step down from the committee with the promise of helping him fend off criminal prosecution so that when his term ends, in 2010, he can retire with some honor and dignity.

P.S. Anyone catch this? As part of image rehab the good Senator is making up a law to prosecute off-shore tax cheats?  I must be missing something.  He wants to send himself to prison?    http://www.politico.com/blogs/glennthrush/1009/Rangel_introduces_offshore_taxcheat_bill.html

He doesn’t need to step down.  He needs to step out.  I wouldn’t trust him in any office.  As far as, Pelosi nope don’t want to be in her shoes.

Perception is reality- that is way of the world.  We don’t know if you are guilty but it looks like you are.

We will see after the investigation if Rangel is guilty of fraud or he has a bad accountant or he is just sloppy with his finances .  Either way it does not look good.  Too bad.  Nancy looks great and I think she is smart.  You betcha.

Madam Speaker should step out of her shoes and handcuff her left ankel to Rangels right hand and jump off the Brooklyn Bridge,, of course thats all in "jest",, don’t want anyone to think I " ingested" any bile PS didn’t agree with Murphy Browns politics but at least the character was honest. Funny a fictious character having more "Character" then these two characters
