Carly Fiorina 'Seriously Considering' Run Against Barbara Boxer

Barbara Boxer had better watch out, because famed businesswoman Carly Fiorina said today that she’s "seriously considering" running for Boxer’s Senate seat out in California.
Once the chief executive officer of Hewlett-Packard, Fiorina jumped into the political fray last year, when she worked as Republican presidential candidate John McCain’s chief economic adviser.
Many view Boxer, who has been in office since 1993, as a shoo-in for the race, especially since she already has $4.1 million on hand for the forthcoming campaign. Fiorina, however, has millions of her own money that she could spend.
Fiorina, who was recently diagnosed with breast cancer, currently heads up the Technology Policy Institute’s board of directors.

Oh, I hope she runs. She left Hewlett Packard under a cloud of controversy after the merger of HP and Compaq got off to a rocky start. There were also allegations that she’d spied on board members during the controversy. Of course, none of that prevented her from collecting her $20 mil severance on her way out the door.
More recently, of course, she was abruptly excised from the McCain campaign after a series of gaffes, including one in which she said that neither McCain nor Palin were qualified to run a corporation. (Although, based on her record, neither is she.)
And then there was the stellar moment when she, speaking as a McCain surrogate said, "Let me give you a real, live example, which I’ve been hearing about from women. There are many health insurance plans that will cover Viagra but won’t cover birth control medication. Those women would like a choice."
Oops. Turned out McCain voted twice against requiring insurance companies to cover birth control. Viagra, yes. Birth control, no.
Fran: I will be working to get them all out.
Your experience pretty much reflects mine. If you live in California, give Carly a chance. I know I’ll not vote for a single Democrat in 2010… or 2012, and I’ll pull along as many Independents as I can.
