CNN Anchor Who Blamed Fox for Tea Parties Wanted Job at Network, Says Source
CNN reporter Susan Roesgen made waves this week when she lashed out at tea-party protesters and insisted the activists’ actions are "highly promoted by Fox News."
Some speculated that Roesgen simply had something against Fox News’s right-leaning politics, but Gawker suggests that Roesgen may have a personal bone to pick: The network refused to hire her — twice:
Back in 2005, though, according to a Fox News source, Roesgen really wanted to work for that right-wing conservative network. She sent a tape of her on-air work to Fox’s then-programming chief Kevin Magee in January 2005, and followed up with another reel to Magee’s successor Bill Shine in September 2005. Needless to say, she didn’t get the gig.
Roesgen didn’t respond to an e-mail request for comment, and a CNN spokeswoman said, "I don’t know anything about that."

Tahnk you for posting this. Usually when we see this kind of behavior-there is something behind it! Now —What is behind Maddow and Olbermann? It is a shame we have to watch crude journalism in this day and age. You would think we would have some educated people covering the news. I think the nasty reporting especially in the last year has pushed America enough. We are fed up! the Tea Parties are not just about one issue. We are just FED UP with bad behavior for the media and Washington!
Thanks staff—tell us more about little nasty Susan.
Olbermann has worked for Fox Sports off and on and so knows Murdoch personally and reviles him because of the damage he’s done to the media and, thereby, to the nation. Maddow says she does not watch cable news. But anyone who believes Fox is a legitimate news organization at this point is either a Bush/Limbaugh deadender or seriously off his or her meds.
MSNBC’s David Schuster used to work for Fox News but, unlike others who worked there who’ll never get jobs now for a legitimate news organization, he was able to get passed the stigma of working for a propaganda outfit.
I watch cable news all day and had never heard of this CNN "anchor" until yesterday. Maybe she does the late shift on CNN International.
What is not mentioned in the story is the episode in which Fox News "reporter" Cody Willard shirked off any pretense of objectivity and announced:
Wonder if he ever applied for a job at CNN?
Please pardon my typos! I get in a hurry when I get FED UP!
Can we talk about Gov Perry from Texas? We may "draw the line" again!
i don’t know susan, but i can’t imagine anyone, with any brains, WANTING to work for fox entertainment.
yes, i did watch that interview, just forgot her name.
it was obvious to me, that FACIST was the "spin word" of the day, and most, as you pointed out, don’t even know the definition!
She refused to listen to his answer! Does not suprise me at all that her sour grapes for not being hired tainted her view.
And Olberman is so darn jealous of Bill O’Rielly that he has to put him down to prop himself up! Both need some therapy if youa ske me to deal with their dissappointments in life.
Now we know where the cheerleaders who ratted out their pinup coach learned such behavior. IF they REJECT you for whatever reason they are to be paid back by slander & hate if necessary!
And they think Conservative Extremeist is dangerous…nothing like a LIBERAL scorned!
I saw the clips of this, and also saw videos after the broadcast, with some of the protesters taking her to task for her shoddy reporting. I say shoddy because she misrepresented the group by singling out someone who couldn’t answer her question (as opposed to some of the brilliant protesters who spoke to her afterwards), and, in one case, didn’t even allow one guy to answer her question, but just lit into him. He tried several times to get his answer out, but she kept ripping into him.
You can go to any rally or any protest and find someone who is going to answer stupidly; it’s even easier when you ask someone to explain and then yell over them and don’t allow them to answer. That’s all she did. It’s not "reporting" to show that as though that’s all that can be found at the protest or rally when there are many articulate, well informed people who could have — and should have — been questioned.

"we" don’t…there is the remote control…I use it all the time to bleep out Fox Fair and Balanced programing. But then I also bleep out Olberman..he is a nut case too…Rachel Maddow I find to be enormously informative and classy. Let’s see,
is there ANYONE over at Fox we can say that about?? Nah..I thinkold Susan should stay at CNN and ride the wave down.
