CNN's Susan Roesgen Confronts Tea Party Protester Who Calls Obama 'Fascist' (Video)
American citizens angry over Barack Obama’s economic plans have taken to the streets across the country today in what they’re calling "Tea Party" protests. That is, of course, an allusion to the Boston Tea Party, a seminal protest that helped spark the Revolutionary War. As CNN anchor Kara Phillips explains, "tea" now stands for "taxed enough already," and the participants are, to borrow her pun, "steamed."
That’s why the cable news network sent reporter Susan Roesgen to a Chicago "tea party," and the results were inflammatory. First Ms. Roesgen went up against a man who labeled President Obama a "fascist," but failed to offer an argument to support his theory. Clearly frustrated, Roesgen then went on to another protester, who also tested her patience. Finally, Roesgen threw her hands up and described the protesters as "anti-government" and "anti-CNN" because the protests have been "promoted by the right-wing conservative network Fox."

Diamond….so true…and the only reason all these other media sources are upset is because they know it’s working, the people are speaking and it is a peaceful rally!! They don’t like it and they will only try to report unbiased crap!! That’s why they have no ratings!!!! They are LOSERS!!! FOX NEWS ROCKS!!!
Try, try as they might to marginalize a large majority of Americans, the media is slowly being shown for what it is. Fox rating are going up while other networks face defeat.
That reporter looked just like the bullies that she represents. She should be embarrassed.

that is a shoot-off from citizens for a sound economy (now it is called freedomworks, another sponsor of the tea rallies)- a group co-founded by charles koch. now listen to this: he controls koch industries, the second-largest privately owned company and the largest privately owned energy company in the nation; he has a net worth of approximately $4 billion, placing him among the top 50 wealthiest individuals in the country and among the top 100 wealthiest individuals in the world.
that is basically your host… one of the wealthiest men in the world, plus oil interest companies, life/health insurance corporations, and many more corporate lobbyists working for less regulation for *them* and more taxes for the american citizen.
this was not a protest created by the 95% of americans who make less than 250,000. the tea parties were, truly, manufactured by the wealthiest individuals who want to protect their amassed wealth at any cost - even going as far as to manipulate hard-working americans into thinking obama is raising taxes on them, when in actuality he is only raising taxes on the wealthiest 5% of the population - and it will still be lower than the tax rate under reagan.
Phyllis—you are clueless and out of touch with America. That movement was brewing—and CNBC in Chicago lit the fire!
It is Time, people! Draw the line in the sand! Obviously you are not a student of constitutional law and don’t care to be aware.
I just left a pre-k awards ceremoney—and those kids are "getting it"! God bless some good teachers that are not brain-washed and can still read the Bill of Rights and the Constitution! If you have children or grandchildren—go check out the teaching they get—be a watch dog! Washington works for US! They do NOT own us! Stand Up, America!
