First Dog Bo Obama to Be 'Commander in Leash'

By The Staff at wowOwow.com

Bo Obama, the first family’s new puppy, will soon star in a new children’s book, Bo, America’s Commander in Leash.

Penned by Naren Aryal and published by Mascot Books, the 25-page adventure follows Bo as he scampers around the garden, plays on the swings and flies in the president’s helicopter. Oh, and he also puts on high-tops to play basketball with Barack Obama. Man’s best friend, indeed!

We won’t tell you any more than that, because we don’t want to ruin the excitement. USA Today, however, has more details on the plot.

We will say, however, that it ends happily.

Yes, it’s refreshing to have youth, vigor and enthusiasm in the White House.  It’s been a long time.

deber, The largest state fair takes place in Texas. Coincidence?

Didn’t Barbara Bush write a book that was "dictated" to her by their dog, Millie?  Regardless of where one stands politically, I can’t see how this is so very different.  I actually think both books were charming ideas.

Who knew the selection of a dog would create controversy.  I wonder if there will be a dog protest arranged by FOX NEWS.

I hope they enjoy the dog.

Oh, please, please, please Fox News arrange a protest.  I’ve been trying to figure out a good place for my dog poop!

What a tempest in a teapot. The children all will enjoy a book about the White House dog. Remember Caroline’s pony, Macaroni?

What a shame they didn’t adopt a dog. It cost taxpayers over 4 billion dollars a year to put dogs in shelters to sleep. I know that doesn’t seem like a lot of money to the president but it would sure help in this economy to have a leader who was fiscally smart and humane. What we have is a President who is fiscally irresponsible and encourages the public to keep the cruel practice of dog breeding going strong while we have too many unwanted animals already. Nice example "Mr. President".
