George W. Bush Penning Book on Presidential Decisions

George W. Bush is keeping his forthcoming memoir simple.
Rather than rambling on and on about his life, the former president will instead focus on 12 important decisions he made during his reign in the White House. The book, entitled Decision Points, will be published by Crown Press next fall, reports CNN, and will include passages on Bush’s decision to run for office, his response to 9/11, the days leading up to the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, and life with his wife, Laura.
Said Bush in the publisher’s official press release,
I am spending time on the book every day. My goal is to bring the reader inside the Oval Office for the most consequential moments of my personal and political life.
I look forward to painting a vivid picture of the information I had, the principles I followed, and the decisions I made.
Oh, Bush — the picture’s vivid enough, don’t you worry.

I wonder if he’ll write it up side down………that seems to be the way he reads books!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dab,
You gotta stay on this site. You’re a hoot! Please, after you’ve read the book and fallen asleep, send it on to me. I don’t want to pay money for a good doorstop.
M M, gladly, I’ll even write a note in it to you. Unless he colors outside the lines and gets in the margins ;)
Canuck….I read this sometime ago when Geithner was being confirmed…this was such an interesting read…..there’s quite alot to this story….there just is no end to all this!!! Thanks for bringing it to Wow!!!
Can hardly wait to read Bush’s book….unlike Obama’s half/million dollar book deal that comes on the heels of the tanking of our economy, George’s book comes as a welcome.
Canuck,
This is what I have to say……
When George Bush came into office, Our Country had a SURPLUS
Now eight years of his leadership we are TRILLIONS OF DOLLARS IN DEBT.
and still involved in TWO WARS.
We can thank your beloved George Bush for this.
Thank you very much but I think he’s the worst President this Country has ever had.
Elizabeth…………Our enemies are the TERRORIST…………..George Bush helped increase them by going into Iraq.
Clinton got us out of debt and with a surplus.
Bush put us back in debt (credit)
Bush is responsible for this debt……….Our present situations was caused by Bush.
Let’s move forward as fast as we can, but since we have to drag along Bush’s garbage it’s going to take a long time
Cleaning up TOXIC WASTE is a big job. Thanks to your’e Georgie boy for the Toxic Waste.
…. and how much did 911 cost us? What was that cost to us as American people? He had to go to Afghanistan. He had to keep us safe. But Obama does not have to add to the debt. He is the reason we are now trillions of dollars in debt …. He said we would be out of Iraq - should not have said that …. he did not know the whole story and now 50,000 Americans will be left there. He should start a huge surge into Afganistan and finish that but is he doing so? Nope!
He should be doing homework about what kind of health care program we will have here in the USA instead of mouthing off about the great ones in Britian and Canada that are bankrupting those countries. He should have a clear plan laid out as to why he needs so much of our money right now and what exactly is he going to do with it instead of just taking it from us. In your mind GW lead us to a cliff - well Obama is taking us right over it Dona and if he had any experience at all he would be taking care not to do this.
He has no experience so here we go - trotting along! Moving forward with no darn direction in sight but this much is clear -our children and grandchildren are going to pay for this.
As far as surplus - CLINTON was the one who took all the guards off of companies like AIG etc. Bush tried to warn the democratic congress that was in charge about what was happening and they did not listen to them. Obama made sure the bonus went through but that probably had nothing to do with the fact that AIG was one of his biggest campaign contributors was it?
Right - and the Federal Reserve acts under the direction of who? and he acts under the direction of who? and in the end - the last line of direction comes from where? Oh that’s the White House!
I have done my research and I do know my facts.
The only time I was worried during the administration of President Bush was on 911. As I have said in prior posts that was the day I knew the world as we knew it had changed for good.
I agree with you Elizabeth - bashing President Bush serves no purpose. In fact it is just another tool used by folks who don’t want us to take a look at what is happening in our country right now.
