George W. Bush Penning Book on Presidential Decisions

George W. Bush is keeping his forthcoming memoir simple.

Rather than rambling on and on about his life, the former president will instead focus on 12 important decisions he made during his reign in the White House. The book, entitled Decision Points, will be published by Crown Press next fall, reports CNN, and will include passages on Bush’s decision to run for office, his response to 9/11, the days leading up to the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, and life with his wife, Laura.

Said Bush in the publisher’s official press release,

I am spending time on the book every day. My goal is to bring the reader inside the Oval Office for the most consequential moments of my personal and political life.

I look forward to painting a vivid picture of the information I had, the principles I followed, and the decisions I made.

Oh, Bush — the picture’s vivid enough, don’t you worry.

Hallo! It was not "his administration" … in fact these bonus’s were allowed by a claus slipped into this last bill (u know the one that nobody read) that was passed by the DEMOCRATS and they were the ones who put it in there …. Now they all use out rage at it when it was them who put it in there in the first place and let it go through? THAT was apparently at the request of who I wonder? Yah, Former President Bush called them and told them to do it. Right!

Bush never decieved the American people. He and all parties in power at the time reviewed the information they were given and acted upon that. There were sites through out Iraq that were terrorist training camps and when the United Nations did nothing to force Iraq to abide by what had been agreed to at the end of Desert Storm which was simply to let them in to investigate the sites in question. That is all Sadam had to do and they would have been left alone but his arrogance is what was the last straw. I am sure George Bush, after 911 thought it might be a good idea to wait and see if the chemical weapons appeared on American soil.

The death of any living soul in a war is sad - but I guess it would have been better to wait it out and see how many more Americans were killed on US soil. That would have been better right! His job was to protect Americans and America and that is what he tried to do. He took the war to them - first in Afghanistan and then Iraq … and by the way my brother in BC said their news reported the sightings of tankers being moved out of Iraq and into Iran and Syria when the war began so wonder what was in them? The USA apparently knew about them but because the contents were likely chemical gas of some kind could not get there fast enough to stop them. Maybe Bush should have ordered that they just dropped a bomb on the tankers to prove their point and let tens of thousands of people die instead just to prove thier point eh?  He took the fight to them and we have been safe in America all the rest of his term years. Me and my family - from my children to my grandchildren were kept safe and to my dying day I will thank President George Bush for that.

President Bush will leave office as one of the most unpopular departing presidents in history, according to a new CBS/NewYork Times poll showing Mr. Bush’s final approval rating at 22 percent. Seventy three percent say they disapprove of the way Mr. Bush has handled hus job as President over the past eight years. Mr. Bush’s final rating is the lowest final approval rating for an outgoing President since Gallup began asking about Presidential approval more than 70 years ago.

I guess this puts you in the 22 percent, canuck, but it’s hard to believe that anyone who is reasonably intelligent would want to be counted in that group. George W. Bush trashed the Constitution, the economy, the lives of thousands of Americans and Iraqis with his illegal and unnecessary war, and murdered the English language while he was at it. If you are confident in this man’s skills, that’s your right, despite all the evidence to the contrary.

… and this ‘President’ is not? Time will be the true teller of what happened and what is going to happen. God will take care of those of us who believe with all our hearts that we live in the greatest country on this earth. And he will protect us from pretenders.

The topic on this thread, canuck, is Bush, not President Obama. It is not about comparing eight years of travesty and deceit with two months of a new Presidency. As for what God will do, you don’t have any more information on that than I do, but it sounds as if you believe in a God who plays political favorites. I guess that means your God could care less about approximately 90 percent of the world’s population. Nice.

WHY…………WHY………

The answer is simply….He did not care what Americans thought.

He was even so egotistic as to say that in public.

wow!! women of the web—way to find the dumbest picture of george bush that you could…bashing him every chance you get…here’s another great article i found of why you need to conitnue to smear the right.

My Liberal Friends Were Right

I have to admit it. My liberal friends were right.

They told me if I voted for McCain, the nation’s Hope would deteriorate, and sure enough there has been a 20 point drop in the Consumer Confidence Index since the election, reaching a lower point than any time during the Bush administration.

They told me if I voted for McCain, the US would become more deeply embroiled in the Middle East, and sure enough tens of thousands of additional troops are scheduled to be deployed into Afghanistan.

They told me if I voted for McCain, that the economy would get worse and sure enough unemployment is approaching 8.8% and the new stimulus packages implemented recently have sent the stock market lower than at any time since the 1980’s.

They told me if I voted for McCain, we would see more "crooks" in high ranking positions in Federal government and sure enough, several recent cabinet nominees and Senate appointments revealed resumes of bribery and tax fraud.

Well, I ignored my Democrat friends in November and voted for McCain, and they were right…. all of their predictions have come true.

Suze Orman sounds off on George Bush and blames the ex-president for the financial crisis — "You blew up every single financial vessel we had and if you think you aren’t personally responsible, well, the blame starts at the top. There is no higher top than you, SIR! If I were you, I would feel so absolutely horrific that I would take every penny I had and distribute it to anybody and everybody to help them in whatever way I could. You owe the American people every penny of your fortune and your family’s fortune."

I wonder how Bush will explain the finical crisis in his book.

Thank you canuck…..So many of us do not speak up.  Maybe if we did the situation we find ourselves in now wouldn’t have happened.  Also, maybe if we called ourselves Americans and not Red and Blue we could put our heads together and solve a lot of our problems.  Its going to be hard when there seems to be such a wide line dividing us.  We  are in such a frightening time, you would think that would be enough to pull us together.  I don’t see it happening, but I refuse to believe it can’t.  Elizabeth Roy

Gee, I wonder who his ghost-writer will be.  If he writes like he speaks, he’ll need one; also, one who will revise history the way he wants it.

My mother always said, if you can’t say something nice about a person, best not to say nothing at all.

I’ll skip saying anything at this time…
