Gingrich on 'The Daily Show': 'Utterly Irrational' to Support Potential Liar Pelosi (Video)

Gingrich told Jon Stewart how he really feels about Nancy Pelosi.
By The Staff at wowOwow.com

Newt Gingrich appeared on "The Daily Show" last night to discuss his new book, 5 Principles for a Successful Life: From Our Family to Yours, but host Jon Stewart made sure to ask about the Republican’s current war of words with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

Gingrich has been one of Pelosi’s most vocal critics since she claimed the CIA misled Congress on waterboarding and other harsh interrogation methods. While he didn’t come right out and say that Pelosi should step down, Gingrich left no doubt where he stands. Said Gingrich:

I don’t care if she stays a member of Congress, but to be speaker of the House means you’re third in line to be president … To have a person who would lie about everybody in the intelligence community in the middle of the war is utterly irrational … She either should prove her allegations, or I think she has done a huge disservice.

I am so over the smokescreen. Another democrat came forward yesterday to back Pelosi’s statement. It was on the Huffington Post and even showed a document in writing. Honestly this smokescreen game is ridiculous. If she is lying and signed off on it OK but facts seem to be coming to her defense. The republicans need to stand up and take their punishment for wrong doing. If any democrats signed off on it then prosecute them too. Torture is a war crime. Stop justifying your wrong doing. there is no justification. This childish demeanor your party is displaying no wonder less and less want to claim membership. Oh by the way it is separation of church and state Rumsfeld should have not used bible passages on his briefings. Our country was founded on freedom of and from religion not on Christianity or god.

He of all people should know Pelosi can’t prove what was said at those briefings. They are not allowed to record or take notes. And the real problem is even if she did know, at the time ANYONE who said ANYTHING against the Bush doctrine was treated like unpatriotic pond scum and just committed political suicide. She didn’t authorize it and we need to start focusing on those that did. If pelosi is lying she’ll get hers down the line. Start at the top and work your way down.

Newt accuses Pelosi of lying! Hello!!! Wonder what his ex-wives think of him? "He who is without sin…" .

This is Newt Gingrich. The guy that was outraged by Bill Clinton having an affair while at the same time he was having an affair. The ultimate hypocrite. So tell me again, why does anyone care what he has to say?

Well, Ok then.  If Newt wants Pelosi to step down for knowing about torture being used then I want Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Gonzales, Rice, et. al. Prosecuted for issuing the orders to torture.

I don’t think the Libs have any room to throw stones here regarding the immoral behaviour of your best and brightest.

Can I get away with conceal the Monte-Cristo?

Try it. Bet nobody cares!!!Immoral behavior is just that. Political affiliation does not matter, but those who are "with sin’ accusing other of being "with sin" is really stupid!

I just love this on so many fronts.  First that fool Newt writes a book about family values, although he had an affair during the Clinton years.  But what is most interesting is, who was this woman … was she deaf, dumb , and blind?

According to his first wife, Newt Gingrich discussed divorce terms with her at the hospital right while she was recovering from cancer surgery. He definitely lost his credibility with me a long time ago about any sense of honor.
