GOP Leader: Napolitano Report 'Displays a Level of Contempt for a Healthy Democracy'

House conservatives may ask President Obama to have Janet Napolitano step down after the Homeland Security Department released a report warning law-enforcement agencies to beware of "right-wing extremism."
That report, say conservative leaders, amounts to something of a witch hunt, and GOP Conference Secretary John Carter says it proves Napolitano, the Department’s Secretary, doesn’t respect democracy.
Said Carter, via The Hill:
No search or arrest warrant should ever be issued on the pure speculative grounds contained in the DHS report, and this report should never have been issued either. The fact that it was, coupled with Secretary Napolitano’s failure to issue an unqualified retraction and apology, displays a level of contempt for a healthy democracy that demands she be removed from office immediately.
One House official said yesterday that GOP leaders on the Hill will likely bring the matter up with the president: "I think leaders are going to bring it up with the president, maybe call for (her) resignation."

Mary, there is nowhere in that report that veterans are called terrorists, in fact the words conservative or republican also never appear yet they seem to be claiming extremists on the right as their own and defending them..hmm.
And FYI, Napalitano was NOT AZ Attorney General when the Murro building was bombed (she was later elected to that post), she was the United States Attorney for Arizona, a federal job. As U.S. Attorney, she was involved in the investigation of Michael Fortier of Kingman, Arizona, in connection to the Oklahoma City bombing.
*sigh*
i guess all you caught is that the right-wing is against this person, huh?
*blush*
sorry… on this website i have no sarcasm filter!
except most people feel bad for the dying animal.
everyone i know is celebrating that this archaic, prejudiced party is being shown for what it really stands for - only their christian, white, straight base.
A lot of these so-called "extremists" have guns. It is a real danger.
