Hillary Clinton Vows Action on Somali Pirates

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton vowed yesterday that the United States will take action against pirates operating off Somalia’s coast.
Mrs. Clinton said the State Department will look into sending an envoy to Brussels, where international leaders are discussing peace-keeping tactics for the African nation. She also said the government will work with an anti-piracy group to set up multinational action against people she described as "armed gangs on the sea." In addition, the diplomat said her team will work with Somalia’s transitional government and shipping companies to help clean up the waters and attempt to freeze the crews’ assets.
Clinton was also quite firm when she said the United States will not pay ransoms or concessions to the pirates, who have been terrorizing the region for years, but made international headlines with the kidnapping of American Captain Richard Phillips last week. Navy snipers killed Phillips’ captors and he’s now safe and sound.

These are not pirates….these are "Terrorists"!!!! Call them what they are!!!
Ah, Robin Hood II, you say? So how come their own government locks them up in jail? They redistribute weath? Sure they do….after they take their huge cut. The UN passed Resolution 1851 unanymously with good reason.
No matter how you cut it, when someone is holding an AKM or RPG weapon and demanding your valuables or a ransom, this is dangerous. It doesn’t matter that their country is "poor" - there is no excuse for this. And lest you think that this is a group of youngsters trying to make things better for their homeland, think again.

Libra Lady: They are TERRORISTS, Merriam-Webster defines piracy as an act of robbery on the high seas. I’d say that holding someone hostage all those days while they held guns is a helluva lot more than piracy!
