Jane Wagner and the Gekko 'Greed Is Good' Gene
In response to: Expense abuses have run amok in British Parliament. Is the corruption of power inevitably a human condition?
Alas, the human condition is in the condition it is in mainly because of the corruption of power. Sadly, it seems we humans are genetically encoded with the “Greed is Good” Gekko gene.
Just think what we could be if we had the drive to attain power, not for selfish reasons, but for all the good we could do with it.

Like SG said, there are a few of us leftwho consider others as ourselves. It’s the Golden Rule.
Artful hugs,
Josie
Josie,
Thanks for the link to http://www.fearlesscreativity.blogspot.com. I’ll start this day with the Golden Rule as my mantra. I’ve always believed in the Golden Rule, but it’s been years since I’ve actually said those words out loud. My goal is not to leave my house again without saying those words as I go through the door to the world outside.
Alice
Yea!!!!! Alice. If that post brought you that idea….I am honored to have found it.
I have been playing it when i get up with coffee and when I go to bed.
Everytime I listen to it, I realign my intentions.
Many thanks!
Josie,
As always, I’m late to the party. But I’ve been enjoying your blogspot all afternoon. I’ll be checking it out more often from now on. Thank you so much for creating it.
Ms. Dee,
Thank you so much! I love finding new and old things to post to make people think, feel…create. It is a joy for me and even more now that you have commented. Huge hugs, Josie
My dear Ms Jane: So happy to see your picture again - I will be happy to "purr you back" anytime. I agree with you and the others who feel the world could do very well with a lot less greed and a lot more sharing.
